Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #170: Fair Weather

Got my resume all spiffed up. Pushed it to 2 pages for the first time, as I have enough high quality stuff to do it, and I figure for a position like this it would probably be good to have it all on there. I hate 2 page resumes when I have to look at them at the career fair, but that is for an entry level position and usually people put a bunch of crap on it. Going to apply tomorrow.

Im not sure how Cummin's does it, but for us if everything fits onto 1 page with anything smaller than a size 10 font we frown on it. Give us 2 pages that we can read easily.

Know what's REALLY hot? That part of the light bulb that has the threads on it right after you unscrew it. Don't ask why I *JUST* found that out.

Good Morning Lodge.

I hope Scarlet found (or will find) a good breakfast this morning.

The light bulb was originally built/designed with the thought that if you run electrical energy through certain metals that they get hot, then glow, which in turn casts off heat and light for all the world to see. Did you know that the glass bulb itself gets hot too?

And you wonder why LWB dubbed your fanbase "Helmet Kids." ;)

TGIMFF. And it even looks like the sun might come out.

The way I look at it is, if you're applying for an entry-level, or close to entry-level position, there is no need for more than 1 page, unless you have advanced degrees, and other stuff like that. If you're applying for a higher level position, like I am, you better have enough high quality content to fill 2 pages.

When I look at resumes at the career fair, I don't even look past the first page.

Not much.

My roommate in college (now my best man in the wedding) got a massive concussion playing flag football with tDarkness. It was bad, we knew he was a mess because we found him passed out and puking in the shower after he landed on his head coming down with a pass (he did complete the catch though). Took him to the hospital, massive concussion. He got Vicodin and was told to sleep it off. The next night we had a party, we told him to not drink because he'd **** himself up. He still drank because someone else kept sneaking him booze. Didn't take long, he was floored in about 2 drinks, and we drank ALOT in college, he was no lightweight.

Hey, do you Minnesota guys remember John Meredith? He played for the Gophers in 1979. He works for my company.

Sorry Ralph... nothing could help those jerseys, except maybe a bonfire.

Those uniforms look like they asked fashion students to design them before they learned to edit their ideas. I have been giggling about the comments all day.

I wonder if I will see anyone who won one of the jerseys in the raffle wearing it when I am in Troy next weekend.
