Interesting. Good Luck to the boy!
Thank you.
I'm continuously told by people, many from the hockey community, that I need to seriously consider teaching, or a few flat out say, just wait, you'll be a teacher. My girl friend is an elementary ed major. I have no idea what I want to do. I may meet with a past teacher of mine who now runs the education program here and see what kind of opportunities and experiences he's had along his journey. While I'm not taking any engineering courses this semester, I am taking two business courses, and I'm still a tad bit unsure of what I'd do with a finance degree, etc.
This is probably going to sound terrible, but I love to do things, I have somewhat expensive tastes, etc. Teaching salary isn't great. The thing that scares me with teaching is not letting my kids, especially if I marry my girlfriend, have the kinds of opportunities that I've had growing up. Two teachers for parents aren't exactly going to be rolling in the dough. I know for a fact that what I end up doing, it will be something I work very hard at, as well as enjoy. I just am very confused right now and don't know what to think, really. Sorry to annoy, but I just needed to get that out.
