sure, south central canada gets cold, but y'all do not get the quick dumps of snow like we do (2+ feet in less than 15hrs at my place) because y'all don't have an ocean feeding the storm next door.

mookie is only sad that the majority of it fell while he was asleep. :(

thing is, just because brent can drive, doesn't mean everyone else can.

no cars out there meant no wrecks. no wrecks means no cops, etc have to waste time helping these peeps. no tow trucks have to lift cars instead of using their plows.

only 'tragedy' that is reported is a kids died this morning as he got cold shoveling snow and his dad decided to start the car and let him rest and warm up. snow was blocking the exhaust and he died of carbon monoxide. seems the dad had a heart attack watching this unfold as neighbors came over to attempt cpr.

Nah, I'm just an East Coast Girl who has learned the error of my ways!! You won't see me posting about how I'm wondering how I'm going to get to work on Monday because the sidewalk I use to get the subway has about 7' of snow on it. I'm just going to walk on a state road and hope I don't get hit in traffic and not mention it anywhere. You need to stop posting shock and awe at some of the posted pictures lest you be called a total and complete wuss by your fellow midwesterners. You should be rolling your eyes at them and thinking, it's just snow people. Come on!!! :)

Until you've witnessed one first hand, you have no idea how powerful they can be. It's not even the snowfall per se, but the drifting can be phenomonal. Nemo brought both.
