Whiskey . . . number . . . TWO! Not a good idea in practice, but a fantastic idea in theory. See you bright and early in the morning.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #161: Needs More Wub

they haven't won anything yet... let's not start sucking each others lollipops so soon.
I never pay attention to the Beanpot but last night I thought they gave some stat that it was mucho yrs since NE did anything. They won't win this time either but I thought it had been forever since they made it into the final game. I am probably wrong.

Good Morning Lodge

More drama with the youth hockey last night. Our team head case played the first period, got benched the second and stormed off to the locker room some time in the third. He and 3 of his buddies were benched for all of the previous game but were back playing last night. (jr had a tip in for the game winner again last night).

Morning Lodge. Got a perfect score at bar trivia last night. I felt useful because 2 of the questions I was the only one on my team that knew the answer (and I thought they were easy questions).

STOP LOSING! You're ruining my team's RPI. :p
 What is this RPI? Isn't that the team Ralph cheers for?
It's odd for me, but I have not looked at the pairwise, polls, or bracketology this season. My team isn't even a TUC.

S'upp y'all

They lost in the OT final when Chris bourque scored.

Yep, that's what RPI is. :)

So, what were the trivia questions?

There were 25 questions. I don't remember them all. The easy ones I got, which somehow the rest of my team didn't know were:
  • What protaganist in a Washington Irvining short story was modeled after real life Kinderhook teacher Jesse Merwin?
  • What acadamey award winning movie ends with the narrator saying, "I had always heard your entire life flashes in front of your eyes the second before you die. First of all, that one second isn't a second at all, it stretches on forever, like an ocean of time... "?

The ones where we just guessed at answers were:
  • What animal goes to bed in the children's book Goodnight Moon?
  • What band, which contains no actual siblings, released their reunion album Sibling Rivalry in the year 2000?

And the final question where we wagered all of our points (to get the perfect score) even though we thought no one else in the bar would answer it correctly:
  • The group Band Aid was formed to raise money for anti-poverty efforts in Ethiopia. Name one of the two American musical acts (band or individual) from the original 1984 recording.

I actually know the answer to one of these (the first one). :)

Afternoon, all. It's been a productive day so far, hopefully I'll continue that trend.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #161: Needs More Wub

Well now the UMN at SCSU thread on DI has turned into insults and discussions of losses from past years. I was getting worried because initially there were a bunch of posts that actually discussed hockey.

Wow - really? In DI? Things must have changed a bit since I stopped heading over there.

Afternoon folks. Taking a little break from the craziness. Our big launch event is Thursday. I am a bit stressed. It should be amazing if it all happens according to plans.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #161: Needs More Wub

I don't know how many of you are on twitter, but the way people tweet at kids who are trying to decide what's best for the future, as in school, where to play football, etc, is absolutely disgusting.
