Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #161: Needs More Wub

Only if they have a current affiliation towards a school that they are promoting. I can tell anyone that they'd be an idiot to attend UND and should go to UW. Because I'm not a student, employed, or retired from the university and have not made any donations to either the athletic department or university program, do not hold season tickets and have not purchased tickets through the university in years, my actions would not be an NCAA violation because the University of Wisconsin would have no ability or opportunity to control my actions. Provided that I do not give any gifts (or make the promise of any gift in the future to the student) it would not impact the student-athletes eligibility either.
My head hurts.

Which I believe is against NCAA regs...

Almington pretty much covered it. As a donor, if I were to tweet to a University of Iowa football recruit, it technically would be against NCAA regulations.

Production again today.

I've started a pledge to get myself back into better shape. I've played in an intramural hockey game Monday, Men's League on Tuesday, and now I'm going to run a couple miles today. I'll likely finish up my week with 2 miles today, 1 tomorrow, 2-3 on Friday.

My India trip might end up being Final 5 week.....rage.....building........

I would have meetings in Pune March 19-20, I have said that if it is that week, I'd want to leave the evening of Wednesday the 20th. I should be able to get from Mumbai to Amsterdam overnight, and catch a flight from Amsterdam to get back into Minneapolis by 2:00PM on Thursday. It would be cutting it close, but I think I'd still be able to make Final 5 and only miss Thursday tailgating. I'll be in zombie mode on Thursday afternoon/night, but so be it.

edit: and I thought it was bad when I had to fly back from New Mexico just in time for the Final 5 2 years ago.

My son just found out he was accepted into his first study abroad choice for fall semester. London Calling.

I am actually in the process of considering a vacation there sometime this year. I'd want to attend a taping of Top Gear for sure, maybe a few other BBC shows (Deal or No Deal, QI, Countdown, Have I Got News For You,) visit a proper English pub, a football derby, one of those rowdy drunk professional darts matches with the "OOOOOOOOOOONE HUNDRED AND EEEEEEEEEIGHTY!!!!!!" guy, etc. What would be awesome is if I could find like a host family so I could live the British life for a while. Maybe a hostel would do as well.

Either there or Germany. I'd likely have to learn a new language for that, though. And that's work! Real 'Murricans don't do the highfalutin' brain work!

Two of the fist things he mentioned: Trying to get into a Top Gear taping & seeing the Vikes play.
