That might be funny if it meant something to anyone who's not Twitch or Brent. And since you've linked to some of their stuff in the past, I'm not dumb enough to click the link.

Fine. Replace Skrillex with Nickelback.

I know one of the families on that team as my son played with the older brother a couple years ago. Scott Bell (former Gopher captain and D3 coach) is an assistant coach and his kid is on that team. I would expect some high quality play from that group, good for your guys to stay with them.

I actually talked to Scott, as he knows the Women's coach, Eric Means. (He played with him, IIRC.) FWIW, they are "ranked" #1. We have a pretty good squad as well.

Uh oh, this truck **** just got real. Apparently my dad is really motivated to get something done. His current proposal is: He gives my $34,500 for my truck (I paid $39,000 for it brand new, 5 years ago), I use $9000 of that to pay off the remaining balance on my current truck loan. We both go to the dealer, and we buy 2 trucks, one for each of us. He has worked it out with the dealer that we can get 2 half ton, V-8, 4x4 loaded (heated leather, and absolutely gorgeous interior) for $39,000 each (they're listed at $48,000). And he will trade in 2 of his older pickups, one worth about $17,000, the other only $3000, towards his new truck.

It is convoluted, but in the end, I would be able to upgrade to a new truck, reduce my payments by about $300/month (and extend payments by about 3 years), and I'd work it so I would end up with $5000 left over, to pay off a high interest loan I have. I think it has turned into a no brainer, I don't like the payments for 3 more years, but they're reduced, and really, if I can get $34,500 for my current truck, it would be stupid to not take advantage of that.

Seems like a no brainer to me, too. Why does your dad want your truck so bad?

The view is lovely here at the *HT. I've already drank one martini. Second one on its way. Should just take up permanent residence as the season is over. O. V. E. R.

He wants a truck for the farm, to pull trailers, haul seed, etc. His gas truck doesn't have the power, and he wants a manual for trailer pulling. It is really hard to find sticks, even in big diesel pickups. If he were to get a new one, it would be well over $50,000. All in all, my truck still has pretty low miles for a diesel, and it is exactly what he needs.

Saw the beanpot early game amongst the BU and NU fans... I think I'll come back next week for the final.

The Slipper family must be out of their minds. Long drought for them.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #161: Needs More Wub

It is a no-brainer. You get the new truck.
Yeah. It sure looks that way. I'm planning on going to look at them on Wednesday, I've only done online research up until now. I want to compare interiors, to see if the more expensive one would be worth it, and take a test drive.

I'm going to have rear seat warmers. And remote start. yay for more comfortable winter commutes!:p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #161: Needs More Wub

Just make sure you don't turn it into a convertible parking it in the garage, okay?

I'm stuck at a Cub Scout meeting, but am looking forward to my conciliatory beverage(s) when I get home.

You've seen his truck and have ridden in his truck. You know why. :p

Thanks to boxes of Ice Melt sold/put away today, I did 750+ reps of 50# in addition to my normal work-lifting. Yes, a bit sore. But it's a good burn. I think.

Ah Scarlet, this whiskey has the extra-special taste of a team in decline. So exquisite! Like sand through the hourglass . . .
