Just don't be an a-hole in the process of explaining it, and you should be fine. Besides, then you can inform her that she gets a 42" in her room.

I've got a 42" on my wall here. I couldn't imagine a 65" in my living room.
He's overcompensating for something.

This is an interesting idea, but it means having to pay Comcast that much more a month. ;)

Well there's your problem :P

Ditch cable and splurge on faster/greater bandwidth Internet. Roku and/or PS3 for cable shows, sports, and movies, HD antenna for local network affiliates (30 bucks at Worst Buy.)

Interesting. Can a channel such as FSN be viewed via this route?

Yep. Couldn't ditch my Gopher hockey. Or any number of other shows. Plus Comcast is going to be strictly enforcing a new internet bandwidth policy. 300 GB per month and you're then forced to pay more. So downloading and streaming are going to be greatly affected in the future.

Everywhere. But it's $3,000 even after the sale discount.

Is it 3D? And does it come with your own personal remote control controller? That's insane for a TV.

Edit: and what Twitch said. It's only a couple bucks a month more, and so worth it for sports. I have the 42/46 setup, and it's already been worth it many times over. I can't even imagine a 65/42 setup.

It's 3D, it comes with two different remotes (not sure what you mean by person remote control controller). It does not, however, come with 3D glasses (which is why I might buy it from Best Buy and try to haggle and get a couple pairs thrown in.

Remotes:

By "personal remote control controller" I meant does it come with someone who changes the channel on the remote after you command him/her to do so. ;)

And same response to this as on GPL (NSFW, language): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2AIqYVZ7gc

I've got a 55" LED in my living room now, with a 51" ready to go in the wall in my bedroom. I've considered going as big as 80" or projector in my living room, since I have the space to do so, but then I would need to find something to do with the 55". Maybe I'd put that in the bathroom. /sillyideas

46 is stretching it for my apt. Prob the tops for optimal viewing. A buddy had a decent house, and had the 109" HD projection (IIRC that was the measurement) for his living room wall. That was amazing.
