Do you ever hear someone say something or post something that is so off base that you want to correct them, but you know that by arguing about it you're giving them credibility they shouldn't have? But at the same time, you feel you can't just let that comment slide? What is the correct response?
Ask them to please give the keyboard back to their mommy.

That's how I felt about many of my classes at UofM. Maybe it's 'cause I was too shy to talk to a prof, or too lazy to go to office hours (probably a combination of the two). Typically anything I didn't get out of lectures, I read through the textbooks and figured out on my own.
I think the learn to teach yourself out of a book/written references is an important skill.

Is it me? Feel free to let loose. I can take it. ;):)
nah, I'd prefer to just not speak to you. :p

I consider myself difficult to offend, but there are 2 topics that make me want to punch people. This post on a different forum, was one of those 2 topics.

I totally agree with that.

If you have a few minutes, check out the BCS D1 football thread...absolutely wacky story about someone I'm sure most of you have heard about.
