We are watching the Polar Express. Mrs. g is snoozing and the kids are nearly out for the count. Might have to pour something on the rocks and fire up the kids newest gift which is the wii.

I have to admit that the Wii Archery and Wii Bowling are kind of fun to play.

We bought a practically new set from some friends. Lots of accessories and games.

I am not a big gamer and I am not sure I want the boys to be either. However, sooner or later they will get exposed and the wii seems to be about as kid friendly as it gets.

The Wii Sports actually do require some good hand/eye coordination. The dance games provide a workout of sorts (shudder). I'm not a big gamer at all, either (own a grand total of 2 PS3 games: Tiger Woods and Gran Turismo).

I attempted the boxing game a few years back. Three rounds and I got into it. The Thrilla in Manila. Broke a sweat and could barely hold my arms up afterwards.

I can only imagine what will be out there in say three or four or five years from now.

Give me Atari 2600 any day of the week. Combat, Pitfall etc. Or Intellivision...........;)

Pitfall. Back in the day there was a promo from Activision. Score 20,000 points. Take a picture showing gamer and TV with the score on it. Send to Activision. G got a Pitfall t shirt. Big stuff back in the day. :)

I never got there. :(

I was awesome at PacMan, though. And River Raid.

I was a Pitfall maniac. Also played a game called Phoenix.

Funny thing though, I grew up in the sticks. Two channels on tv. CBS and PBS. Playing outside is what we did. Gaming was something we did when the weather was nasty and going outside wasn't an option. Not like that today..........

Agreed. I remember many a day going by the RR tracks in the neighborhood, where there was a sorta clearing with dirt mounds. Made a BMX track out of it. Hours and hours spent racing.

We would ride around on three wheelers. Many times carrying a .22 rifle or pistol. Even before I was a teenager. Times have changed.

In 8th grade I did a demonstration speech. How to clean a shotgun. Carried a cased shotgun on the bus. Dropped shotgun off at the office at school. Picked up shotgun and gave demonstration speech. Never sought permission and nobody had any issues with what I did.

Edit. In high school me and some buddies were working on a project in the art room. We had a rifle, a couple beers, a bottle of booze, a bag of weed and a Penthouse that we were incorporating into our project. Teacher walked in. Guess what item she took issue with? Penthouse. :)

Big Wheels were awesome. Especially when my neighbor had a very long and steep driveway. Makeshift jump at the end for the win!

Edit: Oh, just got it. THOSE 3-wheelers. Hick. ;)
