I didn't think Blatz was still in business.

Stroh's spelled backwards is Shorts, as in that's where you need to check in the morning after drinking it.

I'm telling you, there are backwoods hick bars, and then there are WI bars. ;)

Great day here. Vikings dominate and set up the big border battle at home next week. Won one of my leagues and fourth in the other. Family Christmas went smoothly and all of the extended family met the girlfriend and that went over great!

Still can't believe Minnesota, after three wins last year, is in position for the playoffs with a week to go. Sorry! Ending the football joy now!

Had a great dinner with my cousin tonight. I just finished the cookie baking and frosting. Tomorrow morning I have to cut the caramels and create cookie plates.

I would agree with that.

I bet I'd get eyed over hardcore, but I think I could survive. I am familiar with the ways of the backwoodest of bars.

Furnace decided to take a dump during the night and backup (exhaust) in the basement House evacuated and waiting for the oil man to show up. Good thing it's above 20! :mad:

No, it's an oil fired boiler. I think it's clogged internally since my wife forgot to have it serviced in the fall. The oil guy called and thinks the same thing. Unfortunately they probably can't get here until after 11:00.

Also discovered our CO detector apparently doesn't work. I can't believe we didn't have a CO condition with the amount of soot I saw in the basement.

Isn't it weird how those things happen during the holidays? I mean, why not on, like, January 14 or something?

Merry Christmas Eve Lodge! Heading out here about 11:30, dropping off some gifts at my parents' house, then heading to meet up with my friends and their daughter (who is my godchild - thankfully I have her present!), then to my aunt's house for Christmas Eve. The snow we're supposed to get tomorrow looks rather minor. At least as of now. With my luck it will be a storm that sits over the city and we get way more than forecasted.
