Merry Christmas, folks!

Blessed have been a part of both my sides of the fily and or of the girlfriend's for Christmas this year. Always a special time to rejoice over the birth of Jesus and the awesome family time spent together.

Merry Christmas! Today was filled with food and cookies... it was a good day!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #159: Lodge's Attitude Toward Christmas/Holidays

Ate way too much (especially in the radish department; a fave food of mine), spent some good time with the family, and thankfully the nieces were on their best behavior (minus one short episode with the younger one). Hope everyone else enjoyed the day as well!

Rain has changed to snow, our typically red barges are becoming white, and I get off the boat in about 30 hours. While it isn't fun being away for Christmas, this is an alright way to spend it pushed into the riverbank.

Snowing here in Clinton. Weather man is saying its time to panic as we might actually get a good honest 6 inches of snow here today. I just got done putting the blade on the tractor and now I'm daring Mother Nature to do better than 6. Didn't even bother to plow at all here last year.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #159: Lodge's Attitude Toward Christmas/Holidays

We got a bit of sleet here in 202-land before it became a heavy rain. It's not exactly nice here, but it could be a lot worse. More similar stuff expected over night.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #159: Lodge's Attitude Toward Christmas/Holidays

Only got a few inches of the white stuff on the boat last night. Flying home tomorrow, Useless Air, which sucks... however a first class upgrade for second leg from Charlotte was only $49. Considering my now free checked bag would have been $25, it was an easy decision. And I'll be home by dinner :)

Sitting at O'Hare, waiting for my flight back to the Cities. I think I got out of Detroit just in time; the snow was starting to come down at a pretty good clip.
