Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

Only thing I'm worried about? Flying Delta for the first time ever. I've always taken Frontier out to CO and they always have been excellent. Should be interesting.

Have fun. Almost worse than United. (United takes the cake because they were responsible for stranding me at O'Hare on Christmas Eve leading to a Twitter meltdown so shameful I stopped tweeting for two and a half years.)

Great. That's comforting, considering I have my tatt appt scheduled for 2 hours after I am supposed to land, and DIA is 50 min or so away from the studio.

Scarlet should fly somewhere--anywhere--tomorrow then. According to you guys, I'll also have every screaming baby on the planet on my flight. ;)

Tatt guy is a friend, though, so if I'm a little late, no worries. :)

Of course he's your "friend." You're paying him!

IALTO.

He's legit a friend. Kid of the guy who officiated my closest friend's wedding a few years back. Quite the artist (tatt and otherwise; he does local art shows and stuff).

If, by a "little late" you mean "Tuesday morning", you're fine. Otherwise, see my previous post.

Well, if what you guys say starts to come to fruition, I'll be raising a little hell. :)

I'm not worried, though. Won't do any good to worry. I'll just "Keep Calm And Chive On." :D

I'd love to get tatts, but I have no money. Sucks.

Edit: I also have trust issues.

Ask any friends with tatts that you like (or at least appreciate the artwork/quality), where they got them. Go from there. Don't let money be an issue (oh, they're too expensive!). Why? It's for life. I'll pay good money if the tatt is good. It's one thing you don't want to bargain hunt.

I have sketched enough ideas to cover a quarter of my body. I would be fine with the artist doing their interpretation, but I do want them to be an amazing artist.

Understandable. It is definitely a give-and-take experience. If you haven't seen Ink Master on SPIKE, I'd recommend it. Not for the actual entertainment value, but for ideas and things to learn about tattooing. Amazing show in that aspect. They break down EVERYTHING.

Love that show. I always end up loving the "new school" guy. It has made me rethink the ideas I have.

I hate New School tatts, but appreciate the art.
That being said, Sarah and Clint are people I never want to have tattoo me, don't care how good they are. Too emotional. Jamie and Jesse, maybe Stephen, I could work with. Y

I'm not a big new school guy either, but on the show they end up being the most even-keel and adaptable to other styles. Jaime is great, too. I'd take Tatu Baby over Sarah or Clint. And it has nothing to do with her having the sort of dump truck rear that I like. :)

I live with four other guys, and we're all battling variations of colds right now. Girlfriend has it too. Gave her the rest of my NyQuil I had, now I can't sleep;go figure. One class tomorrow and I'll probably lay low for most of the day, as with finals next week, I don't have to really grind until this weekend.

Pitch black night down here in wonderful Louisiana. If there is one thing I hate about my job, tonight is a perfect example. Thank God for bright spotlights.
