Well if you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it
Woe ho ho , a-woe ho ho- a-woe ho ho ho.
My nieces sing that song as "all the Siegel ladies", since that is their last name and they are 3 years old.

You have much to learn young Grasshopper. ;)

When in doubt............ buy her a vacuum. :D
I'd go with cooking utensils. Let her know she can cook for you. I bought boyfriend a crockpot for Christmas the first year we were dating. It's worked out well.

So I'm making a left turn onto my street coming home when my Jeep begins a pretty beefy sideways skid. Impressive skid considering I was in 4WD and barely moving, but I figure I must have hit a random patch of ice funny and think nothing of it.

I get home and see Facebook blowing up, and I learn I just drove through a 5.8 earthquake.

Morning, y'all.

Ha! Awesome.

I think you can tell a lot of people in our group are the same way.

I liked when a couple of weeks ago some of the rivals were in our thread chuckling about how quiet it was. It was like a movie scene where some character -- maybe Stifler! -- crashes somebody else's party, and spends his time yelling what a lame party it is. Eventually people leave to get away from all the braying. Cut to Stifler sitting in room abandoned because of his a55hole-ery, but he's proud of himself. "See! I told you this party was lame! Heh heh."

Nail. Head. Hit.

I just looked for tickets to head to Denver for month end... $900 rt!!!!! W.T.H!!

Week between Christmas and New Year's? To a state known for skiing? I can't believe you found a flight under $1000!!!! Too far to go for one game.

So, the nut-job dad from up at our tourney in Duluth - the board had a meeting last night about it all. There will be a follow-up with him to give his side (as if there was one). I sent an email to the parents asking them to tell the coaches (who are all quite young) that we appreciate the good job they did in handling some difficult situations. I named no names, cited no details and was very non-specific. I got blasted by the mom and a couple other moms for that e-mail. You would think I was airing dirty family secrets! There was nothing secret, dozens of people knew there were difficult situations that the coaches had to deal with because the dad acted up in front of an arena full of people (well, not really full, but a bunch of parents and kids).

I got supportive replies from dads but moms seemed to think it was out-of-line to even acknowledge that there was a problem. Must be a gender thing.

No, you definitely did the right thing. Acknowledge things right away. (Besides, if you don't, the same people, when they find out about something later, say, "How come you kept this a secret?" Criminy.)

Guess who's making yet another not-so-triumphant return in the Tech-NMU thread, everybody.
