Ms. g is a huge Bon Jovi fan. I will be getting her tix for his April concert in St. Paul as a Christmas gift. I am going to get her some of the best seats in the house. Holy shiat.........I picked the wrong profe$$ion.

Away from you? :p

Kind of. I'm getting her four tix. She can take whoever she wants. I'm not a big fan of Bon Jovi and she knows it. I know his music and he does put on a good show but I hope she picks some of her friends. If my plan works, the girls can go to the show and the guys can hang out somewhere and kill brain cells. Win win for everyone. ;)

Edit. Not that's it's a bad thing but 80% of the people in attendance are women who all think they have a shot of going home with Jon. :)

I prefer Richie.

The last time Mrs. g and I went to his show we had a suite behind the stage directly above the drummer. Pretty neat seats actually.

I saw one of the coolest things ever. During the middle of a song the drummer was handed a lit smoke. He preceded to bang away while puffing on a heater. Suddenly in an upward motion with his left drum stick he knocked the smoke out of his mouth making it airborne and then he knocked the smoke into a can with a downward stroke of his right drum stick. Mid song and didn't miss a beat. Saw it two different songs. My buddy and I thought that was by far the highlight of the show.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

Thank Parise tomorrow is Friday. Long week at work (which I actually don't mind this week; it's the last big OT opportunity before I head to CO next week; yay extra spending money!).

Chilling with a New Belgium Frambozen, watching football, hoping to get a good start in my FFL game. I could clinch a playoff spot this week if other things happen, and I'm pretty sure I clinch a spot if I win my last two games. And if I win the league....my F5 is paid for, hotel and everything. :D

I am 10-2 in our 12 team PPR league. I got lucky and my team is stacked. Peyton Manning, Gore, Spillar, Peterson, Cruz, Vincent Jackson and A J Green are just a few of my starters............

Nice! There's one team at 8-4, then 3 teams (including me) at 7-5. Two teams make it. Yeah. Of course, a few years ago, our division's LAST place team was 7-7. THAT year was a grind.

Good luck.

This is our last week of the regular season. My team better not choke in the playoffs. I win and then I can pay for Bon Jovi tix.

Thanks. I might need it.

Isn't it nice when you have a plan for your winnings? :)

The latter is called the Final Five. ;)

Winning the league would be a nice chunk of change. 12 teams $100 to get in. $1 per transaction ( drop and a add is $1.00 total). 3rd place gets entry fee back. 2nd place gets 40% and 1st place gets 60%.

This is my second year with this group and I have never played anything else so I don't know how this compares.

12 teams here, $100 entry, $5/transaction. Winner gets something like $700 + 75% of transaction pool. 2nd gets $300 + rest of transaction pool. 3rd gets entry back, IIRC. 4th gets nothing. The leftover $100 from entry fees goes to "high score of the week" for each of the last four weeks (to give non-playoff hopefuls something to play for).

Drummers for bands like that have to find interesting ways to keep themselves entertained.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #158: Lodge Member's Habits

I would rather play drums for a band like that than a band that plays Hee-Haw.

When I was growing up, I wanted to play bass guitar. Parents/extended family were confused as to why I wanted to play such a boring instrument. Why did they think that? They all listened to country. I agree, playing bass for hick bands would be boring. Gimme some Sly, Stevie Wonder, etc. Gotta funk it up.
