I really need to see about getting my Opposite Girl powers removed. This time, it affected hottie bartender. He told me he was in a Boston's Best Bartender monthly contest sponsored by Absolut and run in one of the local entertainment magazines. I voted, I posted the link on my Facebook page, I shared it with a bunch of friends. I would vote every few days and once when I did that I noticed a results page, so I clicked on that and he was winning by a huge margin. It was 80%-20%. One night a couple of weeks ago I was there and we were talking about it with one of the other bartenders and I said "You're so far ahead of the other guy, he must have no friends or something." I pulled up the results page on my phone to show him, he took it, showed a few other bartenders and the restaurant GM, who came up to me to thank me. And I'm like what did I do?? And if you really want to thank me, pick up my tab when it's over. Though I did not say that out loud. I checked the site again on Monday and voted and he up 85%-15%. I go in there tonight and he tells me he doesn't know what happened but he lost and this month's contest is closed. I was like "No, that can't be right. I JUST voted for you 2 days ago and you still had this ginormous lead!!!!" Needless to say I'm all out of sorts because I feel that it's my fault.

Next time he comes up on an online voting site, let us know. I'm pretty sure we could use *ahem* internet magic to make his voting totals a little higher.

On the drive up tonight we saw deer several times, lurking in the ditches; when you combine that with a canoe on your roof blocking your view out the front window, and a wife and two kids sleeping in the back under your care, IT'S A LITTLE STRESSFUL! :embarrassed: Fortunately we arrived safely, and Woodford Reserve is helping me decompress.

Yeah, I was thinking they deleted all the duplicate votes and then he lost.
So, instead of getting stuff ready for our trip up north last night, I got to run around and buy not one, but two refrigerators.
We found one at Sears that will just barely fit our kitchen - only sticks out one inch beyond where our current one does. But we can't get it until next Friday. So then I ran to Target and got a dorm sized one to hold us over until then. Of course, this morning the old one seems to be working fine again, but I don't trust it to keep on working.

Waiting for service providers to come set stuff up is the pits. Yesterday, my furniture got delivered exactly at the start of the 1:30-4:30 window. This morning? Brighthouse Networks gave me an 8-10am window, anddddd still waiting. I woke up at 7:30 for this, ugh.
Edit: Not 5 minutes after posting that, brighthouse shows up! Yay!
