Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #154: Olympics
I knew I was right about RC. As Mr les says, "He was an a hole when I met him 25 yrs ago. He is one now. He will be one 25 yrs from now. Why is everyone always so surprised when he does something that shows he is an a hole?"
I thought flesh eating bacteria. I hadn't thought of Isaac helping things. I was too stuck on how you deal with a whole convention of people who might need to be moved.Nope, I have (thus far) been unaffected by the closures. We slipped through the area that is making the news a few days before this all started. Luckily, Issac will hopefully dump SOME rain SOMEWHERE up north that will make its way down through the Mississippi. I would love for it to just stall for about 4 days somewhere around Cincinnati or over near Cairo, Illinois. The crazy thing? We're still 18" above the historic low water levels of 1988. This year will continue getting worse before it starts to get better, unfortunately.
And that is absolutely horrible, for all involved. Yikes. A shovel definitely isn't suitable for that, you need a solid lead pipe maybe.
Lots of my pts have the Middlesex to UML plan going. It seems to work well. She's going to Middlesex for a year and is hoping/planning to transfer to UMass Lowell next year. But she said that if you get your Associates and have a 3.0 GPA you can transfer to UML for nothing. Not sure how true that is. Thankfully a few of her friends from high school are going there too.
Wow, that sucks. I'm sure you really didn't want to be right about him, but at least you know your instincts were correct.
