Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #154: Olympics

Just a bit.

I gotta be careful on Facebook, because a good chunk of family is there. I really can't turn it loose there.

That's all I need at the next get-together, is my 7 year old nephew asking me "if you are friends, why do you call each other *******s?"
I definitely take it easy on Facebook now. Here and on Twitter, not so much. I'm actually worse on Twitter.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #154: Olympics

I would probably watch that. Sounds more entertaining than "Dude rides horse in a circle" (I know, I know..."don't knock dressage":p)

Air Racing wasn't in there. Cracked had another article where they mentioned helicopter racing was said to be an approved sport by the IOC (along with Tug-O-War and dueling pistols). I'm talking about this.

dressage is only entertaining to people who know what the hell they're watching (like me). so, yeah, i get why people think it's boring. vaulting is waaaay more spectator friendly. it even has the nascar appeal of potential crashing

i knew i read it in a cracked article somewhere

If someone did up their horse like Twilight Sparkle I'd give them an automatic 10.

I generally watch it on FB, although only my brother and cousin are on there/friends with me (no other family nor co-workers). I generally stick with "*" cussing, unless it's in a video/link/etc that I post where I can't help it. But I don't hold my opinions back, either.

I know there's a time where I'm going to go ape**** and go waaay over the line. You've seen me around here. It's either going to come with the Tigers or Ferris. A coin flip as to which.

You may get caught up in a good ol' postwhore fest at one time or another on someone's status. They are always fun.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #154: Olympics

Hell, I do that here, too. That's nothing new to me.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #154: Olympics

I've officially reached Olympic saturation point.....yep the boss is home.

Gymnastics is starting to drive me nuts: Could you imagine having a gymnastics judge as a parent. "You did a nice job brushing your teeth but your elbow flared out kinda funny and your left big toe pointed out at the wrong time and you don't have enough glitter on your right eye"

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #154: Olympics

I finally figured it out. The reason I have a box of checks laying around my house is so that I can setup EMT payments (Electronic Money Transfers for those of you like Brent). That's it. I ordered a box around December and I still haven't used one since.

OTOH, I have to write out either four or five checks each month from my mom's account because the Springfield Retirement Castle doesn't believe in recurring autopay, and neither does its in-house pharmacy.

I like electronic payments, but I hate auto-pay (where they dictate when they take out your money). I don't like them having that power. Except for rent, I pay all my bills online. Why not rent? The only options with them are auto-pay or writing a check/cashier's check.

Edit: bbdl: nope. I participated, yes. But I did not start it.

Double edit: 4 of the first 7 responses were made by you. Two were by me, one was by DHG.
