Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

About 890 square feet for my 2BR condo. Small kitchenette with breakfast bar, huge living room, decent sized bedrooms and bathroom, outside and inside storage closets. I'm the only one there, so it's about the right size. A roommate would probably be a little much.

Eventually I want something with a huge basement or garage so I can do a bar/pinball arcade. That may have to wait until I meet Twitch Girl, however. Housing prices here are bonkers. Not as many people bought into the subprime mania, so there wasn't a big bubble, and Anchorage is very close to out of room to build on.

Looking for that kind of service from someone who looks like him, would be anything buy Joy, mookie. Besides, he strikes me as more of a Candy, not a Joy.

how would the small talk go??? :)

He could be Almond Joy, and work with a woman who goes by "Mounds".

Also: *king *k arse s*tstick, the gf's flight is delayed and she lost her phone. Hopefully bad things really don't come in threes.

Well, in a pinch maybe the yahoo who mistook Aurora for Dodge City last night can serve as #3. *shrug*

I'm in a very trolly mood, but I think I'd get banninated if I went that direction.

I live near DC... same deal, really... all I want is a basement I can turn into the ultimate man cave... I don't think I ask too much. Bar, pool table, projector screen... etc. *swoon*

I will too. It's a good one.

Evening, Lodge. Next Friday, I have a job interview with Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. I have to get three letters of recommendation, my transcripts, and a background check done before I walk into the interview.

Good evening Lodge.

g house is about 3500 sq ft including a finished basement.

For those of you keeing score from home..........Little g II turned 4 on the 17th. We had a party with the just the g family on Tuesday and tomorrow will be another small party with the inlaws. Little g II only had two requests for his birthday. 1) A Captain America shirt and 2) a couple cans of chicken noodle soup. :)

Awesome.

Chez Rube is about 820, I think. I remember the going rate for apts being about $1/sq foot when I started renting this place. It's just enough to be somewhat spacious for me, but it is challenging when I want more than a couple people over (eg: F5 hosting).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

I have somewhere between 2600 and 2700sq ft plus another few hundred in the unfinished storage area. I should figure out all those numbers someday. It's too much room for a single guy like me, and not in a good location. Once I'm able, i'm going to look into selling and moving somewhere north of here. I'd go smaller for the house, but I'd like to ditch the townhouse living and move into a single family home. I miss having a yard to mow and a garden to neglect.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #153: Condiments, anyone?

I think GE Main is around 1500 square feet, not including the unfinished basement. Built in 1915 it does have a main floor family room and a 2nd floor sun porch/den which is very nice to have. This also doesn't count the three season front porch.
I could go into a townhouse or condo in a second but Mrs. Eagle loves her garden. I hate yard work with a passion. :)
GE Sanctuary in Chisago County is about 800 square feet at most, but the location and view is outstanding.

Used to live in a house with a roomie. In exchange for a break on rent, I mowed, shoveled snow, etc. I don't miss that. Not. One. Bit. If it's worth doing, it's worth paying someone else to do. ;)

I enjoy doing most of that stuff much more than cleaning the inside of the house.

Hence why I bought a condo. Don't really want or need a yard, especially when the city is literally covered in parks and it's snowbound 6 months out of the year anyway.
