Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Decided to take the boys to MOA for the day. I am crazy.

Will probably spend a small fortune at Lego land.

Waiting for the log ride I busted up a fight. Haven't been involved in that shiat in a long time. I've still got it. Took forever for security to get my side of the story (as a witness). Stupid people fighting over a spot in the line.

Has the dynamic duo signed up with the Wild yet? ;)

Happy 4th to everyone!

You turned your own two kids over to security? Couldn't you have just given them a time out? ;)

Hazy hot and humid all day. No rain. At least not yet. Because it's been hazy hot and humid all day, spot thunderstorms are a potential. Cross your fingers they miss us. If it's bad (high winds and lightning) there's a chance the concert will be cancelled. Fireworks would be re-scheduled. That's an extreme scenario, tho'.

Nice. A five foot nothing 20 year old and a 4 foot nothing teenager got into it. I got involved just because space was tight and I was protecting little g in the event things got out of control.

Just leaving MOA. I made the family stop at the Lego store before we left. ;) Race back to Alex as we have a room at arrowwood facing the lake to watch the fireworks tonight

Tomorrow the plan is to tube down a river. Good times.

Good luck.

Thought of you yesterday. Went and saw Ted last night. The movie is set in Boston. I wondered if some of the places in the movie were places you Bostonites here in the Lodge would know of.

...And yeah, it's hot. I feel bad for BPH, as I believe he'll be wearing the ol' wool uniform at Fort Snelling. Outside.

Let's just say I have a new appreciation for air conditioning and ice makers. :o

Happy hockey table. :)

Yes. :D

Happy Independence Day, Lodge. Hope it's going well for all of you! I'm headed to a friends' place to watch St. Paul fireworks - he has a 26th floor apartment facing Harriet Island. Score. :D

If you go into it expecting a stupid comedy that is not politically correct and rated R to boot you will love it. I know I did. Not much skin though if you are into that sort of thing. ;)

It's a bit darker around here, too, but nothing is on the radar. It's storming in Detroit right now, as the Tigers are in a rain delay, but that storm has cut 30 degrees off of the temperature so far, since 6 PM.

At my aunt's cabin for the day. Drinking, tubing , skiing, drinking, sitting in the sun, drinking.... Its been a fun day. Perfect weather for being at the lake and playing in the water. May continue drinking.

So, yeah, we've all been evacuated. Close to half a million people. TV now showing last night's show on air. But I shouldn't stress about it, right?

Heading back to the Cities tomorrow. The AC at our house has been off since Saturday. Turning it on when we get home then finding something to do for a few hours...

There's nothing you can do, dear. It sucks, but it doesn't make it any less true.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Had some steak and corn on the cob (both grilled) with the family, despite the heat. F Mother Nature, dammit, we're grilling (it was 113 degree heat index at 6pm, might have been higher an hour or two before that, I didn't check). Intro'd my dad to New Glarus Spotted Cow, he liked it. Left him a couple bottles for him.

Tomorrow at work should be.....interesting. Holiday slowdown? Or will the heat wave negate that? None of us have a clue.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Great day to be in the lake which, amazingly, was just a titch bit thicker than the air.
