Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Anyone in the Twin Cities want to meet up late afternoon for some drinks tomorrow? Somewhere with a deck or patio? I have to pick up the gf at about 6:30, and I have time to kill after work.
Let me check my schedule.....

Yeah, looks like I can make it...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Actually, on the farm (dairy farm, whey I was young), Breakfast was at about 7:30 after morning milking was done, Dinner was at 11:00, Lunch was at 4:30 before evening milking, and Supper was at about 8:00 after evening milking.

I should have pointed out I was talking about city folk. I mean, there's early, and then there's farm early.

What is your point? :p

My point is . . . uh . . . is . . . get off my lawn!!1!

Interview on Monday.

Knock 'em dead, P-man. Reston won't know what hit 'em.

Yeah, baby, I'm in! My 2 kids will be there too, so could you bring some coloring books and crayons? :p

Try a 6am conference call with the Swiss who speak terrible broken english

I don't miss the international portion of my old job, especailly the Europeans. They are a whiny bunch.
"I can't do a conference call at 7PM, it's toooooo late....why don't you get up at 4:30 in the morning..." Whaaaaaa
"Can we do that another time, I'm off the months of July & August...."

I have a conference call every week day but Friday at 8 am with the "the experts" from cityslickerville.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Early/not early. 8am is early for me, due to my standard work schedule. That's when I get up. So if I have to start work at 7:30am (like I did today), it's F*ING EARLY. It's the equivalent to a 6am meeting for a "normal" 8-5 job.

Psycho Suzi's: very much could be an option. Still trying to figure out a night to meet up with some old college friends of the female persuasion.

Weather: never have minded the heat. But that humidity/dew point can go to hell.

Job interview stuff: I interviewed for my forklift jockey position wearing a shirt/tie/khakis. So use that as a reference to a good white-collar job.

Getting sooooooo close to being less than 200 pounds for the first time in seven years.

Can you toss me some of that weight?

And yes, I eat. Ask BPH and MNS from this past weekend. They ate the same meals, and sometimes never finished them (MNS got called out by one diner's cook for not finishing his breakfast :D) BPH didn't finish either. Guess who did? Yep, this guy.

Noted.

Exactly. You always go one step or so above normal workplace attire. T-shirts, you could go polo and khakis, but more likely button-down. Polos, you do button-down plus tie, possibly sport coat. Button-down, you do a full suit. Full suit... well, you'd better make sure your suit is tailored well and not wrinkled, and that your shoes are polished, because a tux isn't exactly the right option :p

Just in time for the State Fair :D (Good luck!)

I think I just finished digesting that breakfast yesterday. :o

Pretty much. I had half a sandwich when I got home, and was full again. 'Dillo is considering a side trip on the Houghton trip. If it's Fri, I may join him. We can make it back in time for the games. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

um, yeah, thats not really up ny alley. Though, i do watch Game of Thrones.
That has nudity and violence. If they showed everything that happens in the books, it'd also feature rape and DL-approved sex with 12-13 year old girls.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Ok. So, if anyone is interested, I'm going to Town Hall Brewery after work. Probably be there at about 4:30, and I'll stay until i have to pick up the gf. I'm guessing I'll be there for about 2 beers, so if you have nothing elae to do, thats where I'll be.

If that's the place I'm thinking of, that's a great choice.

A side trip to Esky? That's... well, why? It's not like there aren't a ton of good restaurants in the Hoton-Handcock area, and that's a solid 2 1/2ish hour drive. Hit Rosy's on the way back if you must :p

Brent: at the end of Washington, across-ish from Bullwinkles.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Also, tentative Psycho Suzi's july 7th. I am tossing around the idea of going tubing during the day as a pregame.
