Our goaltending was horrific in the third.:p

goldy, great to see you again. Did jr's team win it all? We ended up 2-2 on the weekend, a good performance from what I had expected coming in.

Softball tonight at 9:15, first wave of storms will miss us, should be interesting to see what happens from here on out.

Up on tOhio River now, quite nice since I should have 3g for the vast majority of it. Also, a npb female is coming on here to replace my regular rel capt who I've been working with the past 5 weeks or so. Gonna have to watch what I say/do, but it will be nice to have some scenery on the boat. She graduated from the same college, 4 years or so before I did.

i just paid for a haircut. for the life of me i can't recall the last time i did this... perhaps 1996 or 1998.

I believe they came in second. If memory serves me well.

If you'd been where I was the last several years - where even a basic haircut comes with 10 solid minutes of thorough scalp massage - you'd go more often. :D

Umm, the horseshoe finally fell out of your goalie's breezers in the third. He was unbelievably lucky in the second. Our kids had so many quality, close in chances that went off the post or they just couldn't quite settle the puck. How about our shot that hit both posts and out in the 2nd?

Our kids met a really well coached team in the finals and we lost 5-2 with an ENG and a another in the last 2 minutes as we tried to press for the tying goal. Had a kid taken to the hospital in the 1st, this kid had 5 goals in our Saturday morning game so we could have used him. Turns out he was OK and released but his neck was really sore.

Curious and if you don't mind me asking............what does it cost you to get a haircut on the right coast? I pay $20.00 which includes a $7.00 tip.

When I worked in NYC I usually stayed in Manhattan. I was blown away when I went in for a haircut and it came to $50.00.

It can easily cost that much in the twin cities as well - it all depends on where you go. I've been to a place where the regular stylists charge $30-35 (depending on experience), and it costs $50 to get a cut from the owner. At the other extreme, you've got places like Great Clips which probably charge in the $10-15 range. It really boils down to whether or not you need your hair "styled" or simply go in and have them rely on the electric trimmer mostly to buzz it. If you're doing the latter, just go somewhere cheap; if you need something a bit more complicated than that done, then you have to pay more to get good results.
