....and the Sweden trip looks like it is getting pushed back again. I'll be going there eventually, but the customer keeps having setbacks. Now its looking like I'll be leaving the first week of April.

So, basically you'll be going in May then?

Bonus check and my merit pay increase all in one quick 5-minute meeting - I'll take it! Wish all meetings could be that successful. :)

The more it gets pushed back, the longer the laplands have to thaw. Get those Swedish girls out of their parkas!

Making chocolate pecan pie today for Pi day. :) Haven't made it before, but it looks really good.
Spent the day in Endoscopy observing with a nurse anesthetist. Lots of butts and farting, I discovered I'm not good at being mature.

Making steak for dinner tonight too. ;)

I have a friend who is a nurse anesthetist. He is not mature at 50 :p

Is this a symptom of working for Uncle Sam?

Basically... But I think I have a good shot at taking this years innovation award... If they don't split it 50 ways I could get a nice check.

The problem is that they've slashed budgets for awards and incentives. If talent stands out there isnt a great way to reward it. I almost think they need a modified GS system for science and engineering. Break out 12-15 into a more expanded scale w finer increments. Say a 12.5 or 13.5. That way you can feel more comfortable to raise employees based upon performance.

We're having a ham steak since we had (beef)steak earlier this week.

And tcbg has informed me that he doesn't think he likes chocolate pecan pie (with Jameson and a little whipped cream). After I had my heart set on it and bought all the ingredients. I think I have everything to make chocolate pudding pie, but now I don't feel like making any pie.

Ribs being cooked for dinner. Dinner time should be between 8:30-9:00.

Made tuna noodle hot dish for dinner (Wednesday in Lent). Big hit. Was told we should have it more often.

Smoked a chicken yesterday.
