They really did well for their first time ever playing full-ice games. And we had a good "learning moment" at Saturday's game. We were playing a team from a league known to be more intense/serious than our rec league, but by the halftime break we were up 2-0. Spirits were high, kids were doing great. The 2nd half turned into a track meet, with us losing 7-6. Why was it a "learning moment"? Because in the 2nd half the other team played their top players over and over again, instead of rotating everybody on the team like you're supposed to. Classy! And a great way to have your late-bloomers get way less ice time. :roll eyes:
