Good evening Lodge.

The inlaws are crashing at the g pad tonight.
oh boy.

Good luck gmann. Any way you can make it real uncomfortable for them so they won't want to do it again?

In other news, jr's bantam team won the tourney today. Beat two tough teams and one not so tough, but it was still interesting 'cause our guys looked tired. I think the skiing after the game last night that a few of them did was not the best idea.
Congrats to Jr.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! moanin' monday

Morning, hanging out in Baton Rouge still, waiting to load. Could be Tuesday or Wednesday. Fine with me, I just get to sit with my feet up and play on my phone... and get paid for it ;)

S'upp y'all

"stripper" level talents working the front desk area at the hotel here... I'll need to continually remind myself where I am before speaking and keep my hands in my pockets the rest of the day.

I hear that going to the strip clubs is where most Fla. hotels do their front desk hiring. If you string out some singles to one of them, old tendencies will just pop out to greet you.

Is it necessary to get the 90 minute deep tissue every month? I realistically can't swing that. I could do a 30 minute rub every four weeks, maybe a 60 every 6 weeks, but that would be pushing it. Because I have select areas that need attention, would that help minimize my need for a longer session?
You might want to suck it up for a bit for the longer sessions for now. There's still probably a lot of tension in your muscles that wasn't even gotten to yet in your first session and you'll add to that in the time up to your next session. maybe shoot for your next 2 or so sessions to be 90's, and then you can dial it down to a one hour session. Personally, I really don't like to do 30 minute sessions unless the client really just wants some fluff and buff relaxation, or just has one part of their body that they want to have worked on, like say the neck.
That's great!

I started going to an MT regularly back in September as part of an issue I have, one-hour deep tissue sessions that focus on my back, neck and shoulders, and I found the first session to be intense, something of an * kicking. Since then, I have not needed as much time on the table to accomplish the knots I need worked out. I still find myself going every two weeks for one-hour sessions, but that's mostly because I like not feeling tight. I'm pretty sure I could do it in much shorter sessions, or spaced further apart.
Right, after a while, you're pretty much just going for maintenance, to keep yourself loose.

Congrats to the Ediners!

My son's mite team went 0-3 at their jamboree, but they really did well, and had a great time. (Nice weather we had for outdoor hockey, too!) By that last game Sunday night they were definitely tired as well. We had ice time booked for a practice for Sunday afternoon; after we got the tourney schedule we thought about dropping it; then kept it and had it be a kids vs. parents thing, just for fun. Good time, but they were definitely wiped out by four games in 48 hours.

They really did well for their first time ever playing full-ice games. And we had a good "learning moment" at Saturday's game. We were playing a team from a league known to be more intense/serious than our rec league, but by the halftime break we were up 2-0. Spirits were high, kids were doing great. The 2nd half turned into a track meet, with us losing 7-6. Why was it a "learning moment"? Because in the 2nd half the other team played their top players over and over again, instead of rotating everybody on the team like you're supposed to. Classy! And a great way to have your late-bloomers get way less ice time.

Good evening, Lodge. Homework is done and I wrote my first baguette recipe! :)

Tres bien, BobSansChemise!

Thanks. Glad the mites had fun and learned some things. My son is learning something this season too. Our coaches said that we are not going to play C hockey this season. Most of that is good for everyone. We have focused, intense practices, quite a bit more practice ice time than the other C teams and play very uptempo, hard forecheck hockey. On the other hand in tournaments we play like an A team or high school/college team will. If the game is close in the third the top players get the lions share of PP and PK time, third liners get short shifted (my son included) and we go for the win. Two of these games were tight so we did not roll lines in the third period and he, and others, kept the bench warm in the third. It's time now, so I'm mostly OK with it. It wasn't right when some coaches did it in squirts, but now in Bantams these kids are old enough to play high school sports (if they are good enough). That's the way things run if you are after wins.

Coaches do roll lines in league games, just in tourneys they do this.
