Yep, I'm under the 'old' VZW unlimited plan as well. Now, when I upgrade my phone in April, am I SOL or does that carry over, assuming no changes to the plan?
I wonder if moving to a 4G phone would cause you to have to change plans, since the 4G plans seem to be on a separate price scale.

I'm likely not going to go the 4g route anyways at this point if I can help it. Not enough places where I go on the boat are at that point, and often times I have no service at all (especially between Vicksburg, MS and Greenville, MS. (And if we go further north, between Helena, AR and Memphis is very bad too). If it gets to be better coverage, I would probably just go buy an unlocked phone and do it that way.

Speaking of service, have you used *228, Opt 2 recently? It will update your service with any new roaming tower data.

Really? When I was in the Verizon store about a month ago asking about service for a tablet (which I immediately decided was a ripoff and didn't buy) they said that it didn't matter if it was 4G or 3G, the plans are the same. I specifically asked if I had to pay more if I got a 4G, and the lady said no. I didn't do any digging after that, since I decided that it was all too expensive.

I can get a new phone in June, I'm hoping I can upgrade phones, and keep the plan I'm in now, with unlimited data. I need unlimited because I tether my phone to my laptop and use it for internet at home.

Good morning Lodge. Wet and wild Thursday morning here in 617-ville. mookie has snow, all I see here is wind-swept rain. Seriously, my arms a re tired from trying to keep my umbrella from flipping upside down. I had the umbrella parallel to the ground for the last block to the office, holding it like a shield.

Going to the Bruins game tonight! Our ad agency comes through with tickets to their box. Playing the Canadiens. Hockey!! :)

Oh, I use it every other day, generally speaking. There are still a bunch of completely dead areas with VZW along the Mississippi, especially when we aren't near any "known" populated areas.

I canceled my DirecTV the other day. The first thing the girl on the line says is "Oh, you are eligible for $25 off per month for a year".

Yeah see, this is part of the reason I am canceling. You only offer existing customers any kind of deal if they are threatening to leave. But I wasn't watching much TV anyways, so her offer didn't entice me.

Good morning, Lodge. First week in the baking program is complete, and I feel much more comfortable there than in the culinary department.

Stupidity:

I just got an email that said to check out the new video that was posted to my company's youtube channel. The video contains product information about our newly announced product line and a bunch of other marketing fluff. OK. So I decide that I'll check it out. Click the link....youtube is a blocked website. How ****ing stupid is it to have a company youtube channel, that you encourage people to go check out, and then block youtube.

3G and 4G are on the same price scale. When I was looking at mine I asked the guy how long the double your data promotion for buying a new 4G phone would last. He said as long as I didn't change anything on my plan it would never change (bought the 2GB plan, so I get 4GB). I've had my phone for a week and haven't even used half a GB yet.

Monster - I must say that I truly appreciate you and the people in your profession. Had a 90 minute deep tissue massage today. Poor therapist was in for quite a treat. While my back isn't as bad as Brent's, the therapist spent a lot of time using her elbows from my shoulder blades up through my neck and then down by my hips. Said that I am carrying a lot of tension and would recommend stress-relieving activities and follow ups with either a doc or chiro. And massages every 4-6 weeks. I really do feel amazingly better though. :)
Between you being an EMT, a nursing student, and planning a wedding on top of all that, you're under a lot of stress. Some of our best clients are nurses from either the UofM hospitals in Ann Arbor, and they usually feel like hell when they come in. Find yourself a good MT and figure on being there at least once a month. If they offer up a plan to get discounted sessions, Do IT!!

They want you to check it out when you're at home and not on company time to do so.
