I tried mango habanero wings today. Not very impressed. Yeah, they have some heat, but the flavor just wasn't there. I think I'll stick to my old reliable asian zing from now on.

Buff Wild Wings? Ya, I wasn't too impressed with the mango habanero either, but the domino's mango habanero dipping cups are pretty good IMO.

Our current barges are going to hell in a handbasket tonight. Gotta load a barge before we get to baton rouge, but our current configuration of them isn't gonna make things easy at all. Oh well, good learning exercise for me,

The worst part is that a lot of these clients have been college girls who got gift cards to come in. They're lousy tippers. Oh well, still beats shoveling Shibby!!!
What's considered lousy tipping for a one-hour massage?

The therapist I've been using just had a baby on New Year's Day, and so I've started shopping around. I went to Massage Envy, asked for deep tissue, and it sucked. The girl working on me may as well have thought I was made of glass. She was supposed to be their specialist for it, but that girl was just too weak.

So now I'm still shopping around for people who - I hope - only have to last me through the end of March, when I'd expect, roughly, my regular therapist to get back into working again. Maybe I just need to ask for a guy wherever I try next.

Burn it all.

Got denied vacation tomorrow because we don't have enough people working. What? What's that you say, Management? We're OVERstaffed? So that's why we're working 10 hour days again?

FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

Edit: and they want us to use more vacation earlier in the year.

WHY U NO MAKE SENSE?!

That part does make some sense. If they're like my company, they probably have a lot of people trying to pile a big chunk of vacation time into the end of the year. Doesn't appear to be a problem for my company, which more or less shuts down for two weeks anyway. In your line of work though, they're likely forced to tell some people that they are SOL, and they're probably tired of that.

Monster- that is the one except I left out the fruit/raisins.

I want to retire. now. that is all.

Then why deny an apparently overstaffed workforce vacation time? That's my point. I'm TRYING to take vacation earlier, but you deny it! A couple more months of the crap that has been happening for the last year or so...I may seriously consider heading to a different company. The idiocy and incompetentcy has become astounding.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 142: On the 1000th Post of the Last Thread

bbdl: the mango wings are notorious for either having too much spice, or not enough spice, and the balance being the flavor. There are times where I'm tearing up because of the spice, and other times, it's all flavor. I dunno why that is, but that is the general consensus. And Asian Sensation, I mean Asian Zing is my fave, too.

I've worked with the Federal Reserve Bank's tech department. I now know what it truly means to be lazy and incompetent.

Don't worry. There won't be that many people watching. :)

True. :D There won't be that many in attendance either since school is not in session and Dartmouth's one fan doesn't travel. ;) As discussed on the RPI thread ever since the fact that the game will be televised was announced, the RPI band had to recruit alumni members to get enough people there.

Usually, I like to get around 5 bucks per every half hour of work or so. that would mean 10 for an hour and 15 for a 90 minute session. You dip much below 8 bucks for an hour and we start thinking of you as cheap.

It might not hurt to talk to your old therapist, see who she might recommend. Massage Envy is a huge national chain, and their locations don't tend to hang onto talent too well because they tend to get overworked at lousy rates. I wouldn't want to talk bad of them, but you could make the comparison of them as being the McDonald's of the massage world. They're likely fine if you're just looking for something light and fluffy to relax with. But might not be the best place if you really want something knocked out. The best way to find out if a therapist does know what the Psoas is, and if their eyeballs light up in delight when you ask if they know how to hit it. The Psoas is a hip flexor muscle that's located on the front of your lumbar spine and runs down and attaches on your leg. To reach it, the therapist would have you lay out on your back, perhaps with your shoulders slightly propped up with a pillow. They would find a spot just in front of your hip bone in the abdomen, and then have you breath out and in slowly while they press down slowly til they reach the muscle. More often than not, its going to hurt like hell, mostly because most of us spend too much time sitting down in front of a computer anyways. Some women will say its just a little bit worse than the worst menstrual cramps, but once its over with, you'll feel so much better.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 142: On the 1000th Post of the Last Thread

Also this week AnnArbor.com has been running the Best of Ann Arbor contest for the best place in Washtenaw County to get a therapeutic massage at. Right now the place where I work at, Balance Massage Therapy, is holding a slim 3 vote lead over the second place massage place. Since how everybody here in the Lodge loves a good poll, I was hoping I could get a few of you guys to vote for Balance to help us keep that lead. The voting ends Saturday, and you can vote thru Facebook if you want to.

The best place for a Therapeutic Massage.

A good 8 extra votes or so from everybody here should give Balance all of the votes Balance needs to win. Thanks everybody!!!
Balance is currently up by 10 right now, but feel free to pile on a few more votes for BMT. :D
