hey everyone

Brent, whenever you see this, are you doing playoff game OC on Sunday? Saturday? You know who wants to come down from Duluth this weekend...

Started to fall asleep around 10:30... Thought, good, now I'll get the rest I've needed... Nope, no such luck

The predicted highs around here are supposed to stay above freezing for the next week. We usually get a week informally dubbed "The January Thaw," but we've not had the deep freeze yet to get that thaw. This winter's working out all right for this man with the broken snow blower.

So far so good. I haven't put the plow on the 4-wheeler yet...I have 2 inches of snow in the yard, but I'm letting it pack right now, so I don't push gravel all over the lawn when I plow.

You signed up for the Pond Hockey Tourney this year? How's that looking for you this year? :p

Good evening Lodge.

Quick update on little g for those of you interested.

Mrs. g and I have noticed lately that his gait has been more labored and he has been experiencing some balance issues. Zachary was seen by a specilaist earlier in the week. His legs have gotten tighter (calf and hamstring). It has been recommended that he receive 5 Botox injections per muscle group (20 total) to try and deal with the spastic or tightness in his muscles. We will be getting a second and third opinion. It's not the end of the world but IMHO it is a setback. f an a. :(

Well, so far little g has defied every limit they set for him. You guys are always great and do everything possible. It sucks to have to deal with it but I put my money on little g!

Perspective. It can be good and bad. Good in that things could be (and should be) worse. Much worse. Bad in that one way or another little g will have to deal with stuff like this the rest of his life.

Lots of talk around my company as most positions on the boats received pretty substantial raises effective jan 1st. Definitely welcomed, and probably greater than a lot of people expected. Our stock went up over 40% last year, so it's nice seeing the raises reflect how well the company seems to be doing.

Naw. I MIGHT be up for a TK's, but so far this work week is kicking my arse.

Remember that is all he knows. When it comes time for him to deal with stuff on his own he will be a pro at it and you as a back up. You are the one who is a novice. That is the part that sucks.

I won't even pretend to understand what this means or what the ramifications are...

This. He seems to be a very special kid with obviously very special parents (even if one wears a S&SS) and everyone seems to only have HIS best interests in mind.

I'll bet he'd choose this over the girls pajamas!

In all seriousness, it sounds like he (and you) have the right outlook to remain positive regardless of the obstacles. In my opinion, that's half the battle right there. As long as you never give up there's always hope.
