You should seek professional help.

I'm stupid. You're smart. I was wrong. You were right. You're the best. I'm the worst. You're very good-looking. I'm not attractive.

Work was unreal today. They had me over at the main building, since apparently I'm the only one that can handle the high volume trucking stuff that we had going on. 11 hour shift.

Although, CoolBoss told me right away: "LTL (less than load, basically meaning a full truck with many orders as opposed to a full truck with only one order that takes up the whole truck, like one might see on Ice Road Truckers) is your baby today. You move the orders into the pick-priorities as you see fit, I'll build the small-parcel stuff around that." First time he's done that. Awesome.

That meant: I controlled my day, for the most part. I couldn't control how many orders came in, etc, but I could control when I got them to my area. So, in essence, I was my own boss, kind of like when I am at our off-site location. "Here's the stuff; go and do your thing." That part was great. Definitely eased the stress factor normally felt when at the main building.

Holy ****. I was offered a chief engineer position tonight. A chief engineer position is 3 or 4 levels higher than my current position. I would have to move to green bay.

I have not done so many shots since I college. I had forgotten the taste of tequila ... but I found a bar with KBC! I had a widowmaker and a scotch ale!

These meetings are fun

Got to experience my first outdoor hockey practice tonight. On the plus side: Now I'm officially a Minnesotan. On the down-side: I freaking FROZE.

Any chance of relo back to MN in the near future? That's an offer I'd seriously consider either way, my feelings on WI be dammed.

And Dave: congrats! Now go play boot hockey for 90 minutes, outdoors, with a real temp of -20. Bonus if you're the goalie. ;)

Yeah, how does a goalie not turn to ice, just sitting there all night? Poor bastids.

Dave, my advice? Dress warm.

Thanks, o wise one. :p Actually, I found out from another dad that "dress warm" should mean "Go down to Dick's Sporting Goods and buy a crate of those chemical pack hand warmers, and stuff some down into your gloves." Now I know.

I'm a big fan of liners. I wear either silk or poly long underwear - top and bottom, and glove and sock liners. I wear some sort of beanie or hat under the helmet, if really cold, a balaklava. As coach, wear choppers, not gloves, and the poly or silk liners and yeah, the chemical warmers inside the choppers. If you can fit them in your skates, the toe warmers are great too. If they won't fit, there are insole type heaters that you can maybe fit in or take out the original insole and replace with the chemical heater.

So, what did you do to which boss or bosses??? Did you show them your hat??? ;)

Grrr..... dealing with insurance people is not fun at all. At least I know that I should be getting the better end of the deal here than the guy who hit me. looking to be somewhere around 4,000 in damages right now to the car. Insurance adjuster dude stopped by this morning to take a look at it right as I was about to take off with mom to go to work, she was dropping me off to work. Sitting here at BMT right now with just one client on the docket. could really use some bored house frau or two looking for a massage...
