Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 141: We Didn't Start The (* Hockey Table On) Fire
I'm stupid. You're smart. I was wrong. You were right. You're the best. I'm the worst. You're very good-looking. I'm not attractive.
Work was unreal today. They had me over at the main building, since apparently I'm the only one that can handle the high volume trucking stuff that we had going on. 11 hour shift.
Although, CoolBoss told me right away: "LTL (less than load, basically meaning a full truck with many orders as opposed to a full truck with only one order that takes up the whole truck, like one might see on Ice Road Truckers) is your baby today. You move the orders into the pick-priorities as you see fit, I'll build the small-parcel stuff around that." First time he's done that. Awesome.
That meant: I controlled my day, for the most part. I couldn't control how many orders came in, etc, but I could control when I got them to my area. So, in essence, I was my own boss, kind of like when I am at our off-site location. "Here's the stuff; go and do your thing." That part was great. Definitely eased the stress factor normally felt when at the main building.
