In order to take skills 1 over again, I need to fill out an appeal form, find 2 instructors and another advisor to sign off on it, plus write a formal appeal to the dean of the CIM himself. Meanwhile, in order to switch to Baking/Pastry, all I have to do is contact the department chair, meet with him, and hope he approves my entry. Either way, I have options.

I don't remember you ever posting about actual restaurant work and I believe it is way different than cokking for yourself or friends. There are usually entry level jobs available in that industry and it might give you a better idea of where you want to go with this.

I've been trying to get into the industry; I've even applied at chain restaurants and nothing's worked out quite yet.

And rather than jump through 14 hoops, I've decided to contact the head of the baking department and try to get into the Baking and Pastry program.

Good evening Lodge.

Regarding work, I have been at meetings all week recapping 2011. I wish every year could be like 2011. This year has been one of our best years ever. Absolutely off the charts good.

This has been a HUGE year for our branch in particular. If my math is right, I'll have worked probably close to 300 hours OT this year. :eek: And I'm far from alone in that dept. Our busiest days ever before this year are being eclipsed just about every day now.

That being said, I wish this week or next week would end up being like holiday weeks of old. :(

Sooo, you work for a firm of bankruptcy attorneys, right?

I think bb just is looking for more markets for his family's farm products. As soon as the soy diesel takes off, they switch from corn to beans as the ethanol subsidy ends.
