Knob Creek is okay. There are better for around the same price (see: Elijah Craig 12YO).

Darn, I'm too late probably, but my kid played hockey in Hong Kong with Rich Becker's kid, so if he's there, . . . well, this is ridiculous. Nevermind. :o

Gotta agree with this. I can get a bottle of EJ12 for a little over $20 and I prefer it to the $32 Knob Creek, even though it is not as smooth, though I appreciate that more than most. EJ12 might be too manly for gmann. ;)

While I like all whiskeys, the bourbon whiskeys (with more body) are something I prefer. I like a little weight behind them. Even Evan Williams Single Barrel (around $20/bottle) is more than worthy to at least challenge Knob at that price.

Not dissing Knob, but just looking for that good value, ya know?

Waiting for people to return calls is annoying. Got a call from a head hunter yesterday but let it go to voicemail. So I called back about an hour later when I could and ended up leaving him a voicemail "I'm interested in hearing more, blah blah, please call me back". That was yesterday early afternoon. I have not heard back. Is it ok for me to call again this afternoon if I still haven't heard from him?

Sure. It's a head hunter after all, not an actual company you would be working for. Bother them as much as you want.

I get calls and emails and other bull**** from those people, they're really annoying. I wish they'd quit bugging me, I'm not going to work for whatever company they're trying to pimp to me. Stupid people. Supposedly there are people out there looking for jobs, go bug their asses instead of bothering me 3 times a week.

Morning all, waiting out a slow start to the morning here at Balance. Only 2 on the docket today. no hot stones. I got about another half hour here to putter around waiting for the first one to show up.

Companies would always prefer to hire someone who is already working, versus the guy/gal who wasn't quite good enought to hang onto the last job. No offense to anyone who has been laid off recently - that is the corporate mentality.

Grrrr..... the 11:15 called and canceled because she can't find a baby sitter. Might get her at 1:45. not holding my breath about it.
