Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Morning lodge.

As a fan of an AL East team, I can tell you I was certainly not cheering for the AL East team.

TGIF. So tired. Hockey tonight vs. Bently. Anyone want to go? My friend is out of town so I have his ticket.

Lets see... Orioles fan? Between them and Toronto certainly a couple of hard luck teams for this era.

I rest my case, opposite girl. It's a good thing it's hockey season, or else I would be even more negative than I am right now. To make it worse? I can't drink for the next 2 weeks. These last 5 vicodin are looking very yummy right now (kidding, but I will be finishing them in the next day).

Sorry hp1015. For you. Because you're a fan. Not that the Yankees lost. Which I'm sure you understand. They are usually immune to my Opposite Girl charms. I honestly believed they would rally to win, because they usually do to make my life misearble. I am happy the Tigers won but as a Red Sox fan who lived through that epic collapse, I have no right to gloat that the Yankees lost.

Happy Friday kids! Hockey tomorrow for me - yay!

This tiger fan humbly thanks you for using your powers for good against the evil empire!

Was kind of tempted to eat at that texas de brazil last night, but i dont have an expense account to put it on. Ended up at the hard rock then watched the end of the game back at the hotel room. TK fell asleep during the sixth inning.

So far this "Occupy Wall Street" thing is a non-event here. Maybe 50 people at the Government Center Plaza. Also on the garden side there is 1 guy camped out. I wonder if he knows all his friends are on the other side of the building. :D

Also, what does the government center have to do with Wall Street? Why isn't this protest in St. Paul instead?

Do those morans know that Wall Street is in New York, not Minnesota?

People that intentionally draw attention to themselves should not be discussed. ;)

Good afternoon, Lodge!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Fogo was good! But i am in a food coma now. Ugh.

Parmesan cheese cover pork was awesome. But the beef cuts were my favorite.

So, now that hockey season is officially upon us, can we get a new poll? The high number of thread pages throws off the page on my screen. We start new TRP threads, I think we should start a new one of these even though these don't close anymore.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Not for long, thankfully. :p

Only while the Gophers are still in at. After that you can all go to hell with the NACHOS. :p
The attitudes that ruined college hockey...;)
Morning Lodge.

I should get to Fogo some time soon. Gotta pick a place for pre-game dinner tonight with a buddy but it won't be there.

Yeah Tigers! Central Division Represent!
mmmmmmmm....Fogo...

GAMEDAY! Woo! So glad to have hockey back. Sitting here watching the NHL, knowing we get college hockey tonight, should be a great weekend! Hockey and Football!!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Something interesting that I forgot to mention a couple days ago. On my flight from Minneapolis to Charlotte I was looking out the window as we took off, and not really paying much attention. Then I realized that we were going in the direction that we would be passing close to my parents' house. I got my bearings and sure enough, in the field behind my grandpa's house, I see my dad combining soybeans. When I got to Charlotte I called and asked him how the beans behind grandpa's were yielding, and he starting telling me about and after 10 seconds, he realized that I had no way of knowing which field he was in that afternoon. :p

Also, on that same flight at one point I looked out the window and we were directly over Chicago Motor Speedway. Only a little later we flew directly over Notre Dame, I could see the football stadium and that gold topped arena. Then we flew right over Indianapolis, where I could see Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Lucas Oil Stadium. Lastly, we flew right over Cincinnati, where I could see the Bengals stadium and the Red's ballpark. I've never seen so many different recognizable buildings on one flight.

This was just a fun post to read. That's pretty neat!

He fell asleep when the door closed and dreamed the whole thing. He didn't mention the part where a Victoria's Secret model floated past the port. ;)
He's not as old as you...shouldn't you be taking a nap or something right now?;)

I know I wasn't sleeping. I made sure I didn't fall asleep, I was afraid that the 450 lb black man I was sitting next to would get hungry and start knawing on my forearm.
