Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

So, the NMU/Paintthinner Nation game was supposed to be on FS-Wisconsin. It's now tape delayed until 11PM because of the Brewers game. Thanks, Milwaukee. I hope you lose and your crappy beer named park implodes.

/rage

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Just cleaned up a little bit. Wondering if a fire is a good idea...will wait for Brent to get here to decide. It is in a pretty sheltered area, but the wind all around is pretty bad. I don't think it will be too windy by the fire, but I don't know if it is worth the chance. I guess we'll see.

Weather.com said 41 minutes of daylight left. I think I used about 39:45 of it to mow, but it's done.

NY Strips headed to the grill, and soon. A side of NY Strips for $3.99/lb. Couldn't pass it up.

Keep it small and keep a hose handy just in case.

*runs over to Happy Hockey Table*

If you watched the first 35 minutes we didn't deserve it, but we avoided taking a game to our ****ing graves thanks to the powerplay, and a last minute goal by Jordan Baker.

Happy Hockey Table for me, twice tonight so far. Let's see how often this happens this year.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I just got word from home. My grandfather, who was looking better as of Wednesday night, took a massive turn for the worse overnight last night. They're taking him off breathing assistance, and it's just a matter of time now. The world has no idea the incredible man it is about to lose, and I am not ready to say goodbye.

Sounded like a pretty even game between SLU and Ferris. Read that it was pretty chippy and stuff, but pretty even overall. I guess Ferris had 4! buses break down on their way east, that is just bad luck.

Not at the happy hockey table, but I'm not going to sit at the * hockey table either because hockey is back and I honestly expected to lose tonights game. Hoping for a split tomorrow night.

Really sorry to hear about that 'Diva, thoughts headed to you and your family. It's never a good time to have to say goodbye, let alone easy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Upon leaving the game, wearing my Holmstrom jersey, I had a new homeless dude say "awww man, anything but Holmy. No Holmy man."

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Sorry Diva...

With deference to the bad news, I must still proclaim that I am at the ridiculously happy hockey table.
