Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Car's service engine light came on this morning on my commute home. This cannot end well.

Unhook the battery, see if that resets the code. or do like I do, say who cares until you need to get it inspected:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

The best fix for a check engine light is a piece of electrical tape to cover it up. I just ignore it. I can tell if my truck isn't running right, I don't need a light to tell me.

Holy crap what a crazy weekend. I went back "home" for a town festival for one of the small towns close to where I grew up. I knew tons of people there, so it was fun catching up with old friends. This town has a population of 400, and there isn't even a stop light in the town. They close off main street, which is only a block long and both bars are on that block. Then they charge admission to get in and then you can just go into the bars and get drinks and carry them out to the concert/dance. Plus they have a beer tent in the street. They got a huge stage like you'd see at a huge music festival, I was very impressed. Friday night was Lost Highway, the band we see all the time at TK's, they were great like they usually are.

Saturday I did a "road rally" with my aunt and some friends. It wasn't a rally like you'd usually think of, but they gave us a list of clues that we had to follow and the checkpoints were questions you had to answer throughout the race, if you have the right answers they'd know you actually took the right route. It sounds easy, but holy **** was it challenging. For example, one of the clues was "turn at 2004", what it was referring to was a 2 inch long sticker on the back of a stop sign that said "2004". We gave up after we got a flat tire after 6 hours and an 18 pack of beer. We still had an entire page of clues left. But it was really fun, and now that we know how it works we will be better next year.

Last night was the big event, they sold out the streetdance which was 4000 tickets. Sawyer Brown started at about 10:00 and played for a couple hours. Wow do those guys still know how to put on a show! It was so much fun, I don't know how to describe it, I had forgotten how great songs like Some Girls Do and 6 Days On The Road are. Talk was that this was so successful this year, they're going to try to make the area bigger, sell more tickets and get an even bigger name, some of the names thrown around were Rodney Atkins, Eric Church, Jason Aldean or Luke Bryan.

Also, lined up a date with a girl I knew growing up but hadn't talked to in years. The kicker? She went to NMU. :p

Evening Shirtless.

Back from family baptism. As the Family Turns occuring on the other side of the family :( FB fiasco by wife of family member resulted in all sorts of nastiness back and forth. Now the usual family reunion that has been happening for 40+yrs is disintegrating into if X comes, then y & Z won't etc. People aggravated because those of us not directly involved won't take sides. Serious bummer. Add to this the dick head cousin who is divorcing his wife (yay for her), all the resultant manuvering by him to exclude her and counter manuvering by the rest of us to keep her in the fold (would rather he was gone)-- fiasco.

Why don't the speakers on my iPhone work? I had recorded something with the video camera and it was working. When I put headphones in the audio is fine. When I take the headphones out, nothing. When I increase the volume, it says "Headphones." Weird. I don't want to have to go back to an Apple Store. Though I could do that tomorrow I suppose.

Isn't family wonderful.

Isn't family wonderful.

I'd like to think I've had things relatively simple in that way... not trying to brag... more thankful than anything else... but the things people will do to each other... man.

Sounds like a fun weekend, but only an 18 pack in 3 hours? :D I saw Sawyer Brown several years ago at Cheyenne Frontier Days. It was a great concert - are they still as loud as they used to be?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Oh good, the other service light came on when I drove to work tonight.

At this rate, I'll be yelling "there are four lights!" when I take the car in for service Tuesday morning. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Well, night folks.

I got back to my car tonight, and somebody had used car paint to block all the windows..spent half an hour cleaning that **** up. Glad to see some people here have high maturity levels...
