Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

Sooooo, it seems like my dorm building is restricted to campus for all of Thursday, ie. St. Patty's Day, because some ****head decided to go around and "graffiti" some doors with blackboard chalk. Yep, you heard right. This sounds like a challenge, because I WILL be getting slam-bam-boozled on Thursday, whether it's out in NYC, or in my room... and it's a dry campus.

Leave Wednesday night. Stay at friend's house. Don't return until Friday.

Can't punish what wasn't there to begin with.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

It does indeed suck. Blame Lucia.

And my bosses - who all decided my presence was urgently needed at two job sites in terrible states (WI and IA).:(

Blaming Lucia is too easy.

To make you feel somewhat better, I don't want to go back to Wisconsin after this weekend.

Nah, doesn't work like that unfortunately. They have "sign in" garbage at a given time, say 2100 usually, although who knows how this special circumstance will work out. I'm attempting to circumvent it anyways, saying I'm going home for the weekend to deal with family issues... partially true, although I have no intentions on going home this weekend. We'll see if it works.

Good afternoon Lodge.

Looks like next year little g will be involved with hockey. (pending little g wants to play)

I spent a couple hours with the founder last week and there is a good chance that a team will be starting in my neck of the woods.
How awesome! Good luck to lil g!

Evening, Lodge.

Being sober on st. Pattys day sounds like a legit family problem to me.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

I drove around the area after I got done with work...wow there is nothing here, and I'm from what I had thought was the middle of nowhere. I asked some of the guys at the location i've been working at for suggestions on where to go for dinner, they said to stick to chain restaurants because the local ones are terrible, except the mexican restaurants. Since we're all going out for mexican food tomorrow, I hit up the nicest place in town, Applebee's! And get this, the Applebee's here serves jello shots. The girls at the table next to me had about 4 each while I ate my meal. These girls told the waitress that it was too cold outside to smoke, so they had to go to their car so they could start the car and turn the heat on. It was 65 degrees out, I had a t shirt and shorts on, the windows down and AC on...if I had to stay here longer than a week, I would go nuts.

Edit: also, according to the billboard in town, pizza hut was voted best pizza. There isn't even a local pizza place!

That is so cool

He wants to play hockey. It sucks that he has a disability because he is going to be a big kid and if he has half his dads hockey skills he would be quite the stud. :p

Other things on his bucket list: Be on American Idol, ride a bike, be a teacher and have an office like his dad and last but not least have a wife that he can sleep in bed with while wearing no pajamas. :D
Haha tot he naked thing.
He has been walker free for five or six months or maybe even longer now.

Skating will be very difficult if not impossible for him in the near future or longer though. More than likely he will sit in a specialized chair. I will be pushing him around the ice as he finesses his way through traffic. :)
to the skating thing- you were told he would barely walk if at all. I think he will skate- double runner it up.

This is beyond awesome! :D

I'll second what she said. Very cool. Soon enough he'll be mixing it up in some sled hockey tournament, where he'll have a rap sheet that reads like he's Oggie Olgathorpe! ;)

Didn't lack for stuff to do this afternoon. Did 4 rubs today, 2 of them 90 minutes, one 1 hour, and 1 half hour one as well.

You really need to watch your word choice in here a bit more carefully, you REALLY do.

Don't even say you're going home... just toss out the blanket "family issues"... afterall, alcohol is a good way to sort those out ;)
