Before any response or whatever is made, I'll vouch for Almsy in being fair, and will sorta vouch for dx as not being a doosh (hey, only hung out with ya once :p).

I can vouch for me not being a doosh.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

I can vouch for me not being an arsehole, but there are a few that may differ in opinion. :D

Only a few?

As for being fair: I refuse to be greedy and profit-take at the expense of friends. I simply try and sell the tickets in order to cover my F5 related expenses: parking, food, drinks, gas, etc. In exchange they get tickets at what I think is below market price. Sometimes it isn't, sometimes it is. It’s not business, it’s friendship.

I'm arrogant and may have overstated my status in society. ;)

And yes, you put your views much more succinctly than I (or diva) did.

I really wish the next two days would pass quickly, but I know they won't.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

Good Morning, MEUSA! :)

Good Morning to the rest of tLodge and anyone lurking! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

Lurking at that hour?

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! terrible tuesday.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

Good morning Ralph, MEUSA, Les and the rest of tLodge! Hope you all have a happy Tuesday. Only 6 days left in winter.

MEUSA - I don't think I told you but we all enjoyed the Bobcats game. I'm not sure Miss Wiggle got the importance of what was going on down on the ice, but she enjoyed looking at the crowd and did not get fussy.

Interesting tidbit about last week's earthquake. Theex was almost in Japan for it. His boss had to send two members of his department to Japan for three weeks to do some work there and, luckily, the boss picked two other team members. They are both fine and are supposed to be on their way back to the states.

It can be Pie Day whenever I want! And pie doesn't even have to be for dessert! For St. Patrick's Day, I'm making shepherd's pie...

And I am catching a break: Thursday I meet with my new advisor so I can officially change my major to culinary arts.
Woo hoo! Good to hear you are going to pursue something you enjoy so much!

You'll be working on that, right! ;)

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Hopefully you found the Bank a nice venue and might plan on returning in the future?

Good Morning, Lodge!

Is it Wednesday yet? Oh, and last call for beer and kringle for those going to the Final Five.

Hey, at least she enjoyed something about being at the game. :)

We did enjoy the game and I really like the arena! The only part I didn't like was walking through the wind tunnel back to the parking garage. Once I got almost there a security officer stopped me and told me next time I am there with the baby ask for a ride back from security at the arena. The only other issue we had was no changing table in the washroom. But, for the price and the quality of the game, we'll definitely catch more games next year!

Well, I've never been in the womens rest room (believe it or not  ). Did you use the one inside the arena itself or the one in the lobby? I seem to recall (but honestly can't remember) a baby changing station in the mens room in the lobby. I know there isn't one in the mens room inside.

But, for the price and the quality of the game, we'll definitely catch more games next year!
You were there for Brown IIRC. Not out best effort but not our worst either. I promise next year we'll be better and will put on a show for Miss Wiggle!

Good Morning Lodge

Not much for me to do today down here. I have a couple meetings, and I have to work with a couple other people on getting the training finalized, but for the most part I see it being a pretty slow day. Tomorrow and Thursday I'll be putting on a training session along with some other engineers. Overall, it should go fast, and the Final 5 should be here in no time.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

I returned to Denver late Saturday after spending a week seeing to my mom's first seven days in the rehab center after her hip replacement surgery. One of my brothers was there for the first twenty-four hours of my stay and then had to leave. Our other brother is there now.

In short, my mom has made steady progress since being placed in the rehab center. Many of the medical staff attending her remarked to me about her determination to work hard through her rehab process. She still needs to gain strength and flexibilty on a post-operative basis, but my assessment of the situation is: it's probably another two to three weeks before she'll be able to be discharged from the rehab center and go back to her home. It's not a question of if she will go home, but rather a question of when she'll go home.

The first week was a tough one emotionally and physically for her [and me too]. I speak from first hand experience when I say it's torturous seeing an elderly parent confronted with the physical challenge of recovering and rehabilitating from major orthopedic surgery.

For those of you who have been and continue to pray for my mom and our family I thank you.

both of you are Gopher fans, therefore you're both douchy. :p

Yeah, it was. It also sucked, made me vow to never fly Continental again. Idiots.

when JHM asked me who Colgan Airlines was, I immediately recommended he take a different flight. Being that they are owned by Pinnacle Airlines Inc. I know that they are an inept airline with a shoddy training department. Their pilots are the washouts of other airlines.
