Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

How is the planning coming for the TTP for the Alex hockey team?

Pfft. The ttp for the boys is being planned very similar to the ttp for the girls. But hey, at least they made it right? ;)

There are a whole bunch of teams that would trade places with them in a heartbeat. Making it to the X is big accomplishment.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

Good afternoon, gmann. How are the kiddos?

Doing well. Thanks for asking.

Little g has a procedure scheduled for later in the month. A Urodynamcis test. FYI little g is not "potty trained" as of yet. I feel so bad for him as some of his peers are teasing him about this. He tries to go but he makes comments like "I can't feel it" or "I don't know how to go potty" Something is going on that is out of his control. No pun intended. Little g is very frustrated by it.

The procedure is scheduled at Gilliette's Children hospital. Received a letter the other day pertaining to the procedure. The procedure is schedule for 2 PM. The letter also dictates that little g cannot drink or eat anything after midnight. Seriously? They expect a four (almost five) year old child to go 14 hours without food or drink?

Mrs. g and myself had a conference with his pre school teacher recently (his pre school is three times a week and is with his peers). They actually give a report card. The scores are either I for does things independently or E for emerging. Little g scored an I on everything except for areas in which he has restraints that are due to him physically not being able to perform certain tasks. He is in the 95th percentile in his class regarding most of the basics for his age (counting, letters, shapes etc). I swear he is very close to reading!

FWIW for those of you that are skeptics and don't believe in miracles you need to meet little g. He will make you a believer.

True. I have watched these guys play a bunch over the years and they are really good but not great. (Just ask Hermantown or Rochester.) :)

Besides, Alex had both the girls and boys make it in the same year. Call us the cake eaters of W Central MN!

He sounds like an amazing little kid! I hope the procedure goes well!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

Crap, just learned the center on my kid's line broke his wrist and is out for the rest of the playoffs. :( Will probably double shift the other two centers and they actually play the breakout better than the injured kid does.

You pulled a Tonya Harding on the kid?!?

Wrong. The mailman. :D

Just show little g Billy Madison, and invite some of the cool kids from here over to watch it with him. I'm sure Hoven or Commie would be willing to be their pants for him. Especially if crown is involved. ;)

Been crazy busy all day today.

Cc to Hammer. Any idea of how many tickets are left for the Adrian game?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

We went to the UWS-Hamline game last night. Man, these D3 kids out here don't get in to the games at all. The Hamline kids were halfway in to it, and the UWS crowd was pretty put off by it. Hamline won in OT after a horrible, pointless penalty was called on a UWS kid.

Oh, and let's go 'Hounds! ;)

I saw FM's post last night and wondered what you guys thought of the level of competition. D-III's not bad hockey, is it?

Not many at all. I think you're looking at SRO at this point.

I didn't realize that you were a proud parent of a Gremlin. :D

Dammit, you better know that I'm joking here and that I mean absolutely no harm there.

The game itself was pretty entertaining, and by no means bad hockey. I'm thinking we'll be at more UWS and Scholastica games next year, for sure.

Speaking of going to games, I've already heard from bbdl, but is anyone else going to be at the Duluth East-Cakeeaters game tomorrow?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

well, someone won't be happy when they get here... passing up hottie bartender to see crappy hockey.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

I didn't pass up hottie bartender. I went for a celebratory drink, left at 7, took the T to the game, got there with 7 minutes to go in the first, game tied. Northeastern scored three and I left to rejoin my friends and hottie bartender. Still here. He left, though. They totally ruined my Thursday.
