All those negative and mean thing I have said in the past about the poor education at the University MN, I take it all back.

Never before in my life have I encounter as many incompetent and/or apathetic teachers as I have here at Iowa. It's astounding. Completely astounding.

Just back from Winter Sports awards. The XC coach puts so much more thought into things than the guy who does indoors. Nothing personal about anyone, just flipping thru the certificates and handing them off. Sad. For some of these kids this is the only time they will excel and there is so little acknowledment. Lil is much more pragmatic and derisive. Told me Mum, this isn't XC and as far as he is concerned that was that. Still a proud Mama. 2 letters in 2 seasons as a Frosh. :D

A buddy found a "Where's The Beef?" shirt maybe 15 years ago? Wore it to Wendy's. Asked the question. Blank stares all around. :(

Remember the quick-talking FedEx guy? The McDonald's Big Mac song (had a contest/promo where they gave out 45s [a form of record albums, kids]) and if you got one that finished the whole song, you won? Ah, those were the days.

Happy hockey table! Thief River Falls has cheered me up by taking down Breck in quarterfinals in class A, after I was completely disgusted by the display put on by STA in the previous game.

Nope, still working on the doc part. I needed to get out of Seattle (or more specifically needed to get away from my then gf) and a big part of why I am at Iowa is that it is closer to the Cities.
