Evening, Lodge. Gotta wait to register for classes because Northern still hasn't sent my transcript to Baker. Oh well; I still plan on changing my major to culinary arts. :)

I won't bother to post this on the D-III side because i know I'll get flamed... but holy hell I hate D-IIIs format. I know Fitchburg State would probably get bounced out quickly... but I know Dean Fuller has been coaching that team since forever.... when I was in high school he was an employee working with the "resource room" kids... I don't know if he's still at the high school, I suppose I could ask my mother, but I remember a end-of-the-year article wishlist in the sports section of the hometown paper saying something to the effect of "a gold-leafed invitation to the NCAA tournament"... I don't recall if they've won a league title before and I'm sure its easier to win one once they split off from the ECAC Northeast... but I hate seeing a long time coach with a team that won their tournament sitting at home.

I don't know what happens in the other D-III sports... I know D-II UML baseball once won their league and didn't make the NCAAs with their record of 32-31 or something.... I just would like to see a reward granted for years of toiling at FSC.

Back from HH. They played the crazy parent team. Mother of Pearl, those parents are nutters. Tried to accost the timer ( a teen) because they didn't get a shot in the net with 3 seconds to go to tie the game. :rolleyes: They were all out in the lobby high fiving for letting the timer know how much he sucked. And they wonder why kids end up as jailbirds- they watch their parents.

before joe's mite game sunday i'm standing and watching a pee wee game, lower level.. pw3 or 4. marblehead was beating this team 5-1 with a couple minutes left when it became 5-2, 5-3, then 5-4 with only a minute and a half left... "ok, interesting..." i'm outside joe locker room and there is an old guy, gray hair, large pear shape... just watching. like me, but interested. marblehead stops the puck from going in their zone at the blue line and turns it around.. passes up and a dude skates in and scores into an empty net. old gray guy steps back from the glass and looks at me (since there was nowhere else to look) and yells (yells...) "NOT TODAY!!!".

i actually bust out laughing. he looks at me, turns and walks away.

my wife wonders why i go stand by myself and watch when i go....

Heh.

You might have seen these parents- Bantam Salem parents. Been knuckledraggers since Lil was a mite. Used to yell at the kids when they warmed up- hey # (whatever) you suck!! So bad the league ended up sending officials to observe and threatened to kick them out of the playoffs if they opened their mouths.

It's unfortunate that the majority is giving everyone a bad name.

I know it isn't a majority, but it sure seems like it is.

Beats me, the Brackets for D3 stuff just seem like witchcraft and voodoo to me with all of that odd number of teams stuff. Not to mention the whole East West deal with Adrian pretty much being right in the middle of all that truthfully.

Morning lodge. I've nearly automated the playoffs in my PWR spreadsheet.

Don't be silly. Kubel is one of our top batters. For better or worse.
