Oh sweet heavens, the forcast for New Mexico next week when I'll be there for work: Mon. 67 - Partly Cloudy, Tues. 73 - Sunny, Wed. 73 - Sunny, Thurs. 71 - Sunny. Time to pull out the clubs, take some practice swings out in the snow, maybe hit up an indoor range, because this guy's going golfing next week!!!! :D :D :D :D

Did you just now realize that New Mexico is warmer in March than Minnesota is?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

I don't know and we were wondering the same thing watching that game last week. Eden Prairie rolled 3 lines, Wayzata rarely used their third, as far as I could tell, either that or they just constantly doubleshifted the Lucia-Cameranesi-Klein line.

my high school coach was a two line system guy. Since I rotated between 2nd and 3rd line depending on his mood (giant ****** of a coach) I would either play a lot or like 2 shifts a game. Needless to say, he and I didn't get along.

My HS coach did the same thing & I was a 2nd/3rd line guy (at very best).....but he talked like Elmer Fudd so he was at least fun to mimic.

Blaine does the same thing. Edina should take care of them handily.

Bjugstad wasn't a factor come the third period last tournament, he could barely stay upright.

Giles has been guilty of this in the past too. When Anders Lee was there he wore him down to nothing. It was much like Bjugstad last year. I think Giles has learned that lesson. Years ago it worked in high school, but the good teams that make it to State are too deep now.

my coach had beady black eyes that bared right into your soul. He coached through my freshman year of college then the school asked him to leave. We all hated him, and not because he was a good coach

He touched you, didn't he? Graham James, maybe?

THe first one was supposed to delete. Weird letters came up instead.
I noticed the Add Tags link isn't working today either.

Oh and Ralph just bumped both threads. So now when you can delete one, you will lower his post count! He probably deserves it. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #131: Spring is here!

Good morning lodge.

I went to Menards last night and bought a bunch of lumber. I bought 2 pallets of scrap lumber, which was a whole bunch of 4' pieces of various sizes of lumber, for only $40. I got it home and sorted all of it out and for $40 I easily have enough of the right kind of lumber to build my outdoor bar. I also bought some 8' pieces of treated 2x4 and 2x6's to build the frame for the free standing deck that I'm building out where my fire pit is going to be. Basically, I'm building a deck area, and a bar around a fire pit, as a place to hang out by the campfire during the summer. Phase 2, which would be next spring/summer, is to build a permanent brick barbeque pit in the backyard. I already got 1 section of the deck built last night, I'm building them in 8x4 sections in my garage, so they are easy to move, and I'll put it all together out in the backyard when the white stuff melts.

Blaine played Edina to a tie earlier in the year, I don't think it will be a blowout. I didn't notice Blaine losing their legs in the section championship game, maybe without Bjugstad Aus isn't double shifting his top line as much.
