Supposed to be close to 100 today. And I have Red Sox tickets for tonight. Will probably be like a sauna in there.

1 More hot and humid day here, then a day of severe storms tomorrow brings 80's and lower dewpoints. Yay!

Food trucks are what hell is made of. They've taken over Marquette Ave outside my building and people flock to these things like there are no other options for these things in the skyway, offerring them year-round. I tried to go over to a shoe repair shop in the McGladrey building, and it took just over 15 minutes round trip. The McGladrey building is kiddie-corner to my building. During the winter, that trip would have been 10 minutes at the most.

I don't get the food truck thing. Go outside, in the 90 degree heat, in work clothes, eat sitting on the sidewalk sweating my *** off? Or go to an air conditioned restaurant, sit down on an actual chair or barstool, and eat something that probably tastes better than something that comes from a truck? There's no doubt in my mind as to what my choice would be.

Many of the trucks are gourmet, and they do these "experiments" that you don't find in the traditional restaurants. For instance, the Vellee Deli is a fusion of Mexican food with Korean BBQ. It doesn't park on my office building's block so I've tried it a couple times. The others that serve the normal stuff, though, they're just over priced and middling quality.

I just saw a giant hand made sign on the side of a busy intersection that reads "PIG" with an arrow. Totally struck me as odd. Trying to convince someone to stand by it while I take a picture. Most are not too amused by my amazing idea.

Off to Fenway tonight to see Red Sox-Yankees game 1. Going with my dad. The weather usually sucks when we go. It's not raining, but it is a thousand degrees. Not sure what's worse!

No food trucks in 320ville. Just the usual shiatty small town restaurant type stuff.

Only 1 officer was hurt as far as i've heard. Bullet hit his face shield and shattered, so he had to go to Hospital for surgery around his eye.

It is so muggy here at Fenway you can pretty much see the air. There's like this haze sitting over the field. Totally gross.

Thank Parise this crappy week is done. Between work, the weather, and waiting on test results to see if a friend has cancer or not, amongst other crappy events, I'm fried out.
