Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #13^2: Independence!

So I was gone for a couple days and am catching up on social media stuff, primarily Twitter, and I have a serious question: People actually watch the ESPY's?
Who Knew?
Since I've already re-tweeted it, I may as well respond to the post as well. I can't imagine sitting through a few hours of something as ridiculous as the ESPY's. People need to find better ways to kill time, in fact, if anyone here ever has the urge to watch something as dumb as the ESPY's again, come over to my house, and you can stain some trim boards.

Morning, Ldgrz.

It's bad. You can almost appreciate -- on an aesthetic level! -- how bad and dumb it is. I felt bad for Jon Hamm. My wife said, "Why's he look so nervous?" But he wasn't nervous. He was realizing it was a dead audience, and a stupid format, and he still has to be a pro and look like he's happy to be there. You could see him thinking, "Wow, this is really gonna blow. Awesome."

We made it to the first commercial. :p

It was on at the sports bar I was at last night, so I somewhat watched it. We were trying to figure out why someone got an award outside on the red carpet, while we could see a guy moving decorations/the set around in the background.

My physical therapist mentioned that she watched them last night. The thing that got her to comment on them was Adrian Peterson's outfit. The things I didn't even realize that I don't notice in this world...

Why anyone watches ESPN for ANYTHING other than a live sporting event is beyond me at this point. I don't think I have turned on ESPN since before Thanksgiving. Absolutely hate that some outrageous fraction of my DirecTV bill every month goes to ESPN.

Good evening Lodge.

Taking the g family on a surprise trip to Duluth tomorrow night. It should be a fun weekend.......

Boy I am glad I have a climate controlled office job during weather like this. To those that don't........I salute you.

Thank you. It's not pleasant. And I wear jeans on the job (personal safety choice, although I still get cut up once in a while)

I had to bring the garbage can out the driveway yesterday wearing a suit. Didn't think I was going to make it. Luckily I had brought some water. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #13^2: Independence!

Finally got a guy to come out to replace a broken window today. It is one of them that I had replaced last fall, and it cracked days after it was installed. Everything is covered by warranty but it took forever to get them to come out. Finally it will be replaced today.

So, my commute was about 40 feet, from my bedroom, to my couch, and I'm working from home while watching The Open. Sweet.

I get to enjoy an All-OT Friday. Whee. At least today isn't as bad as the last couple of days for weather. Only in the upper 60's for dew points. ;)
