Good morning Lodge.

Breakfast has been served. Everything omlettes with fruit and coffee and juice. The g family ate breakfast on the deck of our hotel room overlooking Lake Superior. Checking out of Duluth and heading to Itasca to visit the Mississippi headwaters.

Duluth is a great place. If circumstances were different Mrs. g and I agreed that we would like to live there.

Laptop is not being replaced :( Needs a new service plan in 3 weeks. It is OLD. Don't want to go to the deal of rebuilding the dam thing to have it croak again. They will keep fixing it but reinstalling thing is ridiculous. Going to look into a new laptop today and trying to figure out whether it is worth it to trade in the old one or if I keep it as a back up. sigh.

You know it was a fun night when you end up smelling like sulfur and deet. :D

And you left beer behind. So bbdl still has an obscene amount of beer at his place. He was saying this morning that the next bonfire he has, just to tell everyone that no new beer is allowed on the premises. :eek:

You were right. No matter how much you shower, the deet smell still is there. :eek:

I know I left my beer that. That is fine. I will make it clear that I am NOT drinking the PBR in "my cooler". ;)

It might be. I know there's stuff that's probably from last year's bonfires. bbdl always ends up with more beer in his coolers/fridge after a bonfire than what he personally started with. :eek:

Beautiful day at the beach today. No humidity, the water was cool, not bone chilling cold, warm sun but some clouds. And there was a sand sculpture contest at Revere Beach. I posted some of the photos on Facebook. Cool kites as well. Then some clouds rolled in and we had a few showers. Yesterday we were supposed to get storms and I was hoping to get the bird **** off my car. Today was supposed to be rain free yet it rained. At least it was just a shower and didn't derail any plans.

Mom had stuffed peppers in the freezer so she cooked them last night and brought them over and we had a nice dinner. And I found out that today is National Ice Cream Day!! In order to celebrate, I am going to have a bowl of chocolate ice cream!

Good evening Lodge.

What a weekend. Travelled from home to Duluth to Itasca State Park back to home between Friday and today. We had a blast but I am tired and ready to catch some shut eye.

I just ate some chicken kabobs for dinner and with it had a beer. The foam on the beer started doing some funny stuff, I think the glass didn't get rinsed all that well in the dishwasher. So I did what any responsible person would do: I slammed that one so I could rinse out the glass and now I'm on to the next one. This one looks normal.

Relaxing weekend. After I got home from bbdl's (and watching FIGJAM seal his victory), decided to plow through The Girl Who Played With Fire book, didn't turn on the tv or anything. Just was in my own little world. Took all my stress away. It was great.

Office network is down. No work to do until someone comes in to reset it all... Could clean my desk.... Naw, I can just surf the net via personal connection.
