Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

The aliens have taken the ice again this evening and have scored first against the Beagles. THe beagles however have just scored a ppg against our normal team.

I was pretty sure the aliens were playing in North Dakota last night.

and the alien powers extend to having a goal called back. I am in an alternate universe :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Michigan Tech is 20 minutes from setting a new school record for longest winless streak.

They are also cruising rapidly towards the longest goal-less streak as well, now at 9 full periods and change. The old record is 231:40 spread over 11+ periods.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

That's a helluva combination.

Cold symptons appear to be subsiding. It helps that I slept a good portion of the day. The headache is pretty much gone, and the nasal issues are trending towards the minimum as well.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

And it is finished.

Winless in their last 20, scoreless in their last 10 periods.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

* hockey table. Back to the familiar surroundings. The aliens left with a few minutes to go. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Interestingly enough, I'm now at the Happy Hockey Table. Wound up not making the trip. My traveling buddies didn't go and I have one of my headaches. And I did not know it was on TV. Again, I have not seen them win on the road when I am there. So now I have a conundrum. I was planning to go to Orono next weekend to see them play two against Maine. Maybe I should stay home?

Hey... random question... what is the best time of year to buy a car? The subway really ticked me off today... "unscheduled track maintenance"... I hate urbanists (those who celebrate and are enthralled with the urban culture as it pertains to mass transit and living spaces).

edit: its like they see the world as their own personal dollhouse.

Scarlet, you know there's nothing to do in Bangor besides throwing rocks at signs. I'd only go if I had a travel party to go with.

Is there a happy-yet-meaningless-hockey-in-late-January table? If so, I'd like one seat please.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Thankfully come march I transfer to Indianapolis.

What will be your hockey substitute? I think for atmosphere it'd have to be Butler basketball.

I am back and probably won't have to do this again for 7 more years. :)

Glad you're back, on your feet, and squeaky clean. :)

The boss' birthday was earlier this week so we took her car to the Downtowner for her free gold wash. Best deal in town. :)

How are the Groveland rinks looking these days? :)

The best time to buy a car is when you find one that you like and can afford. The date on the calendar isn't overly important. The last three vehicles I have bought have been in May, February and May.

1 for the happy hockey bar, please, and send a couple bottles over to the Tech contingent.

Especially for its distinguished engineering alumni who can't even add two numbers together. That's the one thing Tech has going for it right now, and I'm blowing it.

(Tried to calculate how long Tech had gone scoreless and effed it up about four times in a row, telling various people different numbers along the way.)

Like I said, you're frustrated. Have a drink, take a deep breath.
