Speaking of cooking, I made pancakes from scratch yesterday instead of using the box mix. Discovered that it really isn't that much more work, and they were tasty. :)

Agreed - I make them from scratch now after reading about how they make powdered egg and powdered milk that go into the box mixes. I think they're a bit better homemade anyway.

Checking in, Lodge. Went to 6 Flags New England yesterday. Good times! Went on 8 rollercoasters a total of 11 times and on various other rides. Also, the food prices were surprising good despite it being an amusement park. Got a huge crispy chicken Caesar salad wrap with homemade potato chips for 10$. More than enough food for that cost. Was a good way to spend an afternoon after a bit of a rough patch last week for me. Unfortunately, it's cool and overcast today, so I'm back to feeling a bit blue. :o :(

Each component on its own, or pick 2 of the 3? Sure. However, that combination, especially in that context, just makes me want to gag. I'm one of those weirdoes that's trying to watch what she eats and buck the obesity/heart disease/high cholesterol/Type 2 Diabetes trends that come from both sides of my family, though.

Another west coast trip. Another screaming baby. JFC.

Howdy kids. It's wicked hot here in Hollywood. Off to take the subway up to where my brother lives for breakfast with him and the 'rents and then a few hours by his pool. Then back here for the Kimmel show. Not that I plan to get on camera, but if any of you are so inclined, watch tonight!

I guess I own a house now. Glad that is over, now I have to start with fixing stuff up and moving in.

Congratulations. Check the water heater! (every time we bought a house the water heater blew in the first month.):p

Still don't know if I have to go to Houston, apparently they're having a meeting on that project later today, so I should know by the time I leave work.

Lil' is going on a mission trip to Traverse So. Dakota next summer. Anyone been to that area? They are also planning to go to some big Lutheran church in St Paul- to stay the night. Anoney around that area? The leaders were trying to go to Mt Rushmore but found out htat it would be too far. I think they are going to the mall of america instead.:rolleyes: They are still in planning stages so I thought I would ask.

'Twas a fine morning playing video game ship driver up in Valdez Alaska today. Now I'm back to still rainy NYC, but I am done for the day so probably a nap, workout, dinner and some studying tonight.

So this means that the get-together at my place is fully on for Friday night. Whether I'm home all week or in Houston, I'm having people over on Friday. I sent out an invite on facebook, but I know I missed some people. So even if you didn't get an invite, come over. (I didn't send invites to friends that are a long ways away, sorry mel and Bro Gin) I figured you guys didn't want to travel to get to my party. :p
The plan is to start at 8:00, I'm hoping I'm home by then with a chainsaw to cut up firewood and a keg of either Nordeast or Premium. If you want liquor, bring your own.
