Good morning, Lodge. French Toast with apple bacon was wonderful; topped off with dates, walnuts, and blackstrap molasses.
Anyway, today I go back to school. Yikes. And tonight, lentil soup with leftover French bread for dinner.
Speaking of Oktoberfest, I need to call Old Boys' Brewhouse and see if I can order a growler for this weekend.Afternoon, Lodge. I'm not sure the Lions were much worse than the Vikes today! Mentioned the game to Mom, and she thinks Favre will get injured next game and call it quits honorably.
Also, Paulaner Wiesn and Spaten Oktoberfest both go down very easily.

Speaking of cooking, I made pancakes from scratch yesterday instead of using the box mix. Discovered that it really isn't that much more work, and they were tasty.

Thank you! I'm going back for a certificate in Occupational Therapy; just have to take the pre-reqs first...Good luck! What classes are you taking?

Some of you might wonder why I care, because obviously "Championchips aren't won in November", but I have curiosity.

Legal - the pancake mix I have only requires the addition of water to make the batter. It doesn't get much easier than that.

Good morning. Kids must be back in school, I can feel a nasty cold coming on.
Went to a wake last night for the father of a friend, while it was obviously sad it was also fun. Someone sent an arrangement which included a bottle of Jameson, four shot glasses, and four cigars. It was pretty cool.
It then evolved into an Irish wake at O'Gara's where the family had a beer & apps for whomever joined them. Our friends dad was a Johnnie and his classmates really wanted to drag George along with them to O'Gara's for the party & among them decided the next one to go should be cremated to make transportation easier.

Yep. Nothing really special, since it's still KFC making the thing, but nothing objectionable either.
