Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

Pretty boring night for me, just sitting around watching baseball and football. It will be nice when I get into my house so it isn't such a pain to get to be able to do stuff on weekends. Though, it is nice to save some money by living like I have the last several weeks.

Ditto. Enjoyed a couple movies, the first season of The League (which is hilarious), and now watching the Twins. And now game over. Boo.

If I end up having to go to Houston again, Friday is going to be interesting. I'll have to get out of the airport and to my house, which I wouldn't have had any time to actually move into yet, and get ready for people to come over. I'll have to get the chainsaw from my dad on Monday so I can start cutting up wood for a bonfire right away when I get there, then at some point go pick up beer and liquor. I'm hoping that all you ****ers will be able to come over around 7 or 8. :D

So party is Fri? I'll make sure to let my boss know I have to leave at "normal" time.

The plan is for Friday. Everyone will have to bring a sleeping bag or blankets and stuff, or a tent, because obviously all of my stuff is still going to be packed up, no spare bedrooms or extra couches, hell, I'll probably sleeping on the floor!

and I'll have to leave at about 11 Saturday morning for my next work trip...to Houghton, kinda a couple crazy weeks for me

Back from the filth of Ohio, and aside from one drive where I'm pretty sure GVSU had something like a 2nd and 45 because of penalties, nothing that was going to get Twitchy.

Did go thru Dundee today for the first time since it got hit with that twister this summer. Still quite a bit all tore up there, houses and buildings. One of the oddest things there I noticed was just how all of the corn was still bent, and that twister hit back in Late May/early June.

Went with my dad to check out the flooding. We have about 80 acres of beans under water, the water was so deep there that we could only see the tassles on the neighbor's corn, so that means the water is about 10 feet deep. About 80% of the back 9 at the golf.club is under water. Dad's buddy in town said they were worried about the dam failing which would let loose a wall of water and destroy downtown cannon falls about 30 seconds after it bursts. I don't think there's any way that happens, but when there's this much water people get nervous. Another town about 30 miles away has so much water in it they were driving boats over single story houses and not hitting the prop on the roofs. Glad that we live on top of the bluffs!
That is a whole lot of water, that corn is just going to be trashed if ever drys out.

Of course not, Twitchy is in Alaska. That isn't exactly near to Ohio. :D

Regarding your rep and its corresponding post: to clarify, had you said something earlier in the day on Friday, say, during work hours when I have a better chance of seeing things on the board, I would have gone to the game. It's my weekend in Ohoho and I'm ten minutes from Findlay! I was in town when I saw where the game was; had even driven past campus wondering who they were playing.

Mornin' Lodge.
I'm awake because HN had to get up to go to work this morning. Then again, I've kinda been awake most of the night. He was snoring something fierce and I couldn't sleep.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! sunday, day of rest.

cc to Patman- Still have to go to umptyump rinks- he is playing league hockey.

XC meet yesterday was the largest I have ever seen- Lil had to run against206 runners in the Frosh race. I think the JV had over 250. The starting line was immense. For those of you that know XC- they were still in a massive blob more than a 1/2 in to the point I couldn't take pics. Absolutely insane. The team that won was a ringer out of Longggg Isaland. They had 10 kids in the 25 with about 1000 M to go.  Lil is disappointed he only came in 35th. I was da mn impressed. :D

Way to go Lil!

Making French toast tonight, topped with toasted walnuts and served with a side of apple-smoked bacon.

You could have looked it up, its not my fault Findlay didn't advertise whom they were playing any better. :p :p
