Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

Ugh, I hate making bad decisions that lead to bad habits when I'm drunk.

Last Thursday, I'm drunk riding back with my friends from the Yankees disaster, and my buddy whips out his can of Camel snus, and in my drunken state I get one. Now I'm going through my own tin. The good news is that nobody knows I'm doing it unless I say something as you don't need to spit (which is my main complaint about dippers), but its still not something I want to get in a habit of doing. The minor buzz is nice, but the risk of cancer isn't. It'll probably just be a phase.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

You brought up a good point comparing the cost to the Charger or whatever, btw. But that Hyundai is still an excellent car.

The Genesis? My buddy has one and it's just an unreal sports car for what you would expect from Hyundai (who typically make good cars, but they are kinda in the same reputation group as a Kia, for example.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

Yeah, I said that 15 years ago. :o

Heh, I bought a hookah in Greece over the summer and used it on our ship fairly often. That gave a real nice buzz, but alas, I haven't used it since I got back on land yet. That will probably change next week, starting to get in the mood for a good smoke. Of course, when I'm on RA duty and can't drink (College code of conduct/dry campus/RA contract), that will be a nice substitute.

The only problem I have with that car is that "Genesis" makes me think of Sega, not Hyundai.

What's wrong with that?

IALTO.

And when my bro (mechanic at a Hyundai dealership), who was a "Chevy or nothing" kind of guy for most of his life has turned, that's saying something.

The Genesis has all the bells and whistles, awesome acceleration, good movement/cornering/etc, and all that. A little pricey on the face value (re: if you're gonna spend X amount of dollars, just get a Benz/BMW/etc) but worth the cost. And no yuppie/dooshbag prejudices. ;)

Grrrr.... tweaked my back Monday, went into the chiropractor Tuesday and he was having a hell of a time getting me put back into place as I was just so stiff. Been mostly laying down and icing my back today, trying to get the swelling out of in there.

Not that any chiropractor could fix me, but sometimes I do wanna go to one and see them go "WTeFF?!" Specialists have done so, for the record. :D

Yeah, easily amused.:o

Hyundai (who typically make good cars, but they are kinda in the same reputation group as a Kia, for example.)
Racist (both companies are Korean). :p

But did he turn due to the fact he works for the company, or are there legitimate reasons for it (or did he simply BS you into believing the 'legitimate' reasons)? :p

List+tax+title probably puts the V6 option around $30k. Fairly steep, but not terrible all things considered. It's basically in the same price range as a mustang or a camaro and a little short of the charger.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

Good morning lodge.

Sitting at the airport, waiting to board the plane. It was an early morning but the first night at the house was good.

I ended up getting a tv, went to several places to check prices and brands after doing research online yesterday and ended up where. I started looking, best buy. At a couple different stores the sales people were recommending LG because apparently they are one of only 2 companies that actually makes their own screens, and the other is Sharp. The reviews online were good for it, so that is what i went with. Its a 46" LCD, 1080p, 120hz, internet tv (which i think just means that i can stream stuff without having a computer hooked up), originally priced for $1399, reduced to $899, aparently they just reduced the price today, according to the people at the store. I think it was a pretty good deal, watched a movie last night and it was pretty sweet.

Also got my gutters cleaned yesterday, because apparently the previous owners had never heard of the concept. There were effing weeds growing in them!
The only problem I have with that car is that "Genesis" makes me think of Sega, not Hyundai.
Makes me think of Phil Collins.

Good morning! Will the sticky, humid weather ever go away?!?

As long as you dodge the 0530 board gremlins, you're fine.
Yeah, I usually run into them as it takes me about half an hour to settle in at work. :o
