Yeah, not many places to hide there. The other side is a bit better but still hard to stay away. The camera makes everyone friendly cos' they want the pics and I have an excuse for being anti-social

I have no interest in going to a place like that. Its bad enough going to places where they have a dj playing ****ty rap music non stop, techno is worse. I like going places with a live band that plays live music whether its covers or originals.

you've never heard actual good techno music then. Not this crap that they play on KDWB. I'm talking legit DJ's that have following all over the world, including Armin Van Buuren, DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, etc. I like live music too, but live DJ spinning is about as ultimate as it gets

The problem is your confusing actual rap (like Em/Jay-Z) with the **** they call rap (Soulja Boy) nowadays...

Techno's OK...though I'll admit I haven't heard much, if anything, from the guys that Sloe Gin mentioned. My techno knowledge is limited to what I heard at The Ralph and The Edge back in the day. :p

I dunno, maybe I'm just biased, but live music is pretty much the best thing out there for clubs and bars. Obviously techno doesn't lend itself to anything but DJing, whereas a good band (or solo artist) can cover multiple genres of music well.

that *t at the Edge was not techno. That was garbage. :p

just as you go to a bar to hear live music, or even if you discover that a bar that you are at is playing live music, you go to these clubs specifically to hear techno music. Maybe a local DJ that you know is spinning (my friend does this) or there's a Battle of the DJ's. Either way, there is a ton of different techno music out there. It's not all 160 bpm thumping crap. There's some good *t.

I'm aware, even if bb_dl isn't, but a live band is still a better investment of my time.
