edit: I'm mostly *****ing about the price of normal things... not groceries and household goods... but like pizza and things along those lines.... and every place appears to have a foo-foo tinge to it all. Makes me miss home.

You know, funny thing, I never really cared about leaving "home"... other than "home" doesn't have a lot going for it... its a declining city... but other than that, I'm perfectly OK with the every day stuff. I never wanted more than those things to be available to me. Not that I don't mind nice things... I suppose I'm just happier in the 'burbs.

I never aspired to big city living... it just kinda happened.

I am from NYC. DC seems small, and I like that.

As to pizza, I have never had a decent one here and gave up years ago.

For some reason the supply store where I work doesn't stock Skilcraft pens and pencils anymore although they have Skilcraft notebooks. I love the Skilcraft mechanical pencils with thick lead.

Morning Lodge.
Sprained my ankle pretty bad last night, as in instant swelling, on the ground.
Now I'm on the couch, PB's gone to get an ACE, and my crutches.
Contemplating going to FastCare, but prob not, as they'll just make me get an over-expensive x-ray.
My job consists of a LOT of moving around, so idk how that's going to work. Boosh suggested that I get a wheelchair, as I am handicapped, and they can't discriminate.

You should ice it if you haven't already and take Ibuprofen 3x a day. After a day or two you should use heat instead.

those are actually pretty good... I don't care for the pens... the notepads are passable... I wish our secretary would stock the other colors besides white and yellow though.

Ideally, I'd want a different color for each different project. Three outstanding projects or say two and a scratch notebook means 3 colors to me.

edit: i don't know why this area fails at pizza so much... you'd think with so many transplants you'd get a half dozen places that gets it right. Its either foo-foo or cardboard. Supposedly there's a (new) good one down the street... all specialty pizzas but the price looks "Arlington reasonable" and the options look pretty good.

I am sooooo envious! Yes, I knew what to expect, but I'm still trying to catch up from Wed - Fri nights when it was just me and the baby.

NO ice until no pain at rest. Heat makes it balloon more. The 48 hour thing is a stupid myth that they teach us but the trainers have it right. No heat when you are still incapacitated.
