I have nothing planned. Probably 6ish would be fine. I should have all my errands done by then.

Update: just found that a cab is about $20 w/tip. So SoH, MNS, and bbdl just voted me as not being DD.

I thought about offering to go to ILTB but I didn't want to cab both ways. Kind of makes it cost prohibitive. So it's off to the local watering hole!

edit: I'm mostly *****ing about the price of normal things... not groceries and household goods... but like pizza and things along those lines.... and every place appears to have a foo-foo tinge to it all. Makes me miss home.

You know, funny thing, I never really cared about leaving "home"... other than "home" doesn't have a lot going for it... its a declining city... but other than that, I'm perfectly OK with the every day stuff. I never wanted more than those things to be available to me. Not that I don't mind nice things... I suppose I'm just happier in the 'burbs.

I never aspired to big city living... it just kinda happened.

if you think that the Final Five will still be held in St. Paul and FSN will still pick up the broadcast with both the Gophers and the Badgers leaving the WCHA, I'm shocked. North Dakota and St. Cloud, for the championship game, could not fill that arena last year. Without the Gophers/Badgers, there is 0 incentive for FSN to pick up the games. The allure of the Final Five will die.

It will still be held in St. Paul - the league itself has said that (it's still centrally located for many of the league's teams - all the MN teams, UND, Tech, and UNO are a reasonable distance from there). As for FSN, it wouldn't be all that surprising to me if they continued showing it - they couldn't show a Big Ten tournament, since the BTN would hold rights to that.

One thing is for certain: FSN would carry fewer Gopher games as more of those would end up on the BTN.

'Morning, Lodge! I got up at a decent time to clean before we have friends over for the Packer game, and so I can pack for my return to Marquette this week. Instead, I'm drinking coffee and playing online. I fail.
